I would like to join the police force in an official capacity. [ As opposed to being unofficially on duty all the time. ] I believe I spoke to a few members of the force last time I posted here. Could someone inform me of the necessary procedures? I'm afraid I can't provide any references, but somehow I doubt that that is a problem here.

[ But now, here is the other question that she really wanted to ask. ] The prison on the island, the one raised a few weeks ago. Has anyone determined why it has appeared? We don't seem to need it now that the ghouls have gone.

It would be frightening if they started jailing people before having any real laws.

If they do, I haven't heard of any actual laws. There's no drinking age, either.

If you find out otherwise, please tell me, because far as I know, the police force just tries to keep people safe. But then, I never asked Justin-san for specifics.

I suppose it must be difficult to vote or keep a council if people can leave at any moment.

Yes. In the year that I've been here, I don't recall hearing anything about voting, or a council of any sort. We just have the deities, and the Police Force.

Where I'm from, it isn't. My mother's family was quite famous, as I understand. The Bei Fongs of Gaoling You may have heard of them.

Earth Kingdom! That's where Miss Toph was from! She talked about things like earthbending and airbending. Things I'd never heard of before.

You should have her house! I still have the key for it. I've been checking up on it once in a while. She had a pet, too. I'll give it over to you, since I'm not using it. It belongs in your hands.

[ Lin looks surprised. ] My mother always told me she was an irresponsible child. It's hard to picture her with real estate. Or a pet.
