[ Clary's feeling particularly bubbly today. It's hard not to fall into things here, and even though where she's from New Years is quite a way off, she's still feeling as happy about it as she would've been at home. Why shouldn't she? She has her boyfriend and good people around her. So she's only been here three weeks, that doesn't mean she can't enjoy herself. ]

So does anyone have any New Years resolutions? [ Her video feed shows Clary sitting at a desk, clothes strewn about her. Jace is probably going to have a fit and try to tidy everything away soon. Maybe she's just leaving them there to wind him up. ]

I think I'm going to draw more. That counts, right? Drawing for pleasure anyway. [ She has been drawing - but only for runes lately. ] Not very exciting though, is it? Anyone have any crazy ones?

Anything I can think of, really. I like to sketch people but I need to get better.

Have you ever drawn pictures of horses?

[steleheart]

Oh, yes! [ Beaming. ] My mother's friend, he has a farm and when I was younger I'd practise drawing the animals.

Do you like horses?

[horseish]

Yes! I'm the moonlight midnight starbright rider. No one understands horse better than me.

Would you like me to draw you something, maybe?

[ She can't be all that old and Clary already knows the City doesn't pull you in as a family unit. ] Maybe you could tell me about your favourite one and I could try and sketch something up for you.

There's a flea bit grey called Mister Boots. He has a black mane and four black socks.

[ From the background, Jace is outside, walking, heading back to the apartment after picking up some food. And he's making a face at the mess because it wasn't in that state when he left earlier. ]

You want to add something about being tidier onto that list.

[ Surely Jace can't resist her when she's pulling such an angelic face? ]

Was it the floor? Because I think you were going about it wrong.

[ If she was doing it to wind him up, it's clearly working, but there's amusement beneath the exasperation. ]

You're a teenage boy. [ Fake frowning at him but the corners of her mouth are turning up. ] You're supposed to be messier than me.

All the time you've known me, do you ever recall me fitting the typical stereotypes? [ He couldn't even think with that mess everywhere. ] You're going to leave it until I'm the one cleaning it up, aren't you?

[ Pretending to think. ]

What's in the bag? I might change my mind and tidy up before you get here.

It's kind of hard to make New Year's resolutions when you've only just gotten to a place, you know? I could make a few if I were still back where I was.

[steleheart]

Okay then, hit me. What would they be if you were still at home?

[unflagging]

I always meant to go on a long trip--to a particular place, but that's my own business. So I would have resolved to finally get up and go.

[steleheart]

Well, that's a good resolution. People are always putting things off.

[unflagging]

Yeah, it's true. I've got other plans too, but they're not resolutions so much as plans, so they don't count.

What do you draw?

[steleheart]

Almost anything. I'm trying to get better at landscape. I was going to take classes a while back but that didn't really work out.

[ Thoughtfully. ] Hey, maybe that should be one of my resolutions. Take classes. If they even exist here.

[brobeforehos]

Drawing - you draw? And what about the signs? Runes?

[steleheart]

[ She almost chokes a little on her inhale. ]

Um. [ Crap. ]

[brobeforehos]

Um? Don't be scared now, I won't throw you out. It's not as if Jace didn't say his word about warlocks on his arrival.

[steleheart]

[ Damnit Jace. ]

Oh. Oh. Well, okay as long as I'm not the one who gave it away. [ Flicking through her sketchpad nervously. ] You don't think we're ... crazy?

[brobeforehos]

Of course I do. Aren't we all, to be in the City and all? But trust me, I've seen and been through a lot of things to think you crazy. I do, however, have a bigger interest in all sorts of new languages. Did I mentiom that?

[steleheart]

[ A wide, bright smile crosses her face then. ] Oh, you do? That's wonderful. I can let you see some of them, if you'd like. But Jace would probably be better to ask.

[ Tucking her hair back behind her ear. ] I'm sort of new to it too, I can read them but I've never been taught to.
