[ The first thing that rips through the network is a woman's frantic screaming along with the sound of metal being bashed into. Bones popping can be heard underneath all that, a sound like wet silk tearing causing her sob. ]
Let me go, let me go! Stop it, please, please ... !
[ The video swerves away from a nondescript wall to catch sight of her shapely legs splitting at the muscle as bones reform into a grotesque satyr-like lower-half (It hurts, it hurts, stopstopstop!). Shrieking in fright, the cloven hooves lash out and kick wildly as she tries to escape her own body, dragging herself backwards from the spectators across scant hay over a hard wooden floor. The screen draws back, revealing her to be caged at the circus, now a freak as penance for driving over a doe a few days prior. To the coaxing of a dark figure laughing lowly under his breath, it's adrenaline and horror driving her to stand up, shaky as a fawn clattering heavily against one side of the bars when her sense of balance gives out.
Hands fly to her face as she backs away into a corner, crying freely in distress and trying to tuck away the new limbs still covered in the blood of her last. The communicator is tossed at her knees. ]

[ Device in hand he's already hurrying out of his bedroom and rushing through the apartment to get outside. If she can tell him where she's at then he can maybe get a hold of her moped and-- ]

[ Plaintive and frightened, she clasps the video feed and shuffles away from the bars into the centre of the cage, away from little hands that yank at her furry new legs. ]
Mako, please.

[ She looks so scared and it's killing him to see the raw fear illuminating her eyes. ]
Korra! Korra! [ Mako doesn't want to lose sight of Asami. He's lost Bolin and had lost Korra for a week. He can't afford to lose Asami either. ]

[ As if she's closer to Mako and Korra via the video, she keeps it close in a death-grip. No one seems to be taking it from her, thankfully. ]

You're beautiful to me, Asami, no matter what happens. [ he adds quietly and firmly to his device not taking his eyes off of her. ]

[ Mako can imagine how painful it was, if her earlier screams and broken sobs were anything to go off of. ]

[ Mild panic rises. ]
You're still on your way, aren't you?

[ Oh shit. Not good. ]
I said I wouldn't leave you there. [ Mako's out of the apartment and practically hopping down the set of stairs on each flight. His face goes out of view and the ceiling soars as he hops over the railing on the last flight and shoves his arm against the door to get outside. ]
Your vehicle-- still in the garage?

[ Nodding when he asks about the moped. ]
The doors are locked, you'll have to break them open.

[ The camera's a touch shaky, he's jogging around to the back of the apartment to get to the garage. Although she warned him about the doors, Mako tries them. His device gets shoved into his pocket ("One sec--") and seconds later he's kicking three times before it gives way, broken wood flying and scattering. ]

Korra-- where were you? [ He's furious that she hadn't been here sooner. They were wasting time standing around here. ] I was calling for you, didn't you hear me? Asami's been kidnapped by the circus, she's in a cage. There was blood everywhere; they did something to her, she said they turned her into some sort of a monster.
She said someone named Sif was going to get to her first. We need to get to her.
[ He turns back to the moped, ready to turn it on and get moving. ]

I was out brushing Naga! Just chill out --
[But she stops when she hears the rest of what he said.]
It'll be easier to find her on Naga.
[She whistles loudly, and the polar bear dog comes bounding in.]
PERMA ACTION
His communicator goes off in that moment, taking away his attention from the polar bear dog. His eyes widen. He goes to type out a reply. And then-- ]
It's Sif. She says Asami's at the City Solutions building. Do you know where that is? [ Mako looks between Korra and Naga to Korra again, his grip tight on his device. ]
PERMA ACTION
She swings up on Naga and reaches a hand out to Mako.]
Come on.
