[His phone is floating under his power as Loki perches on a ledge, one leg folded under him, the other dangling. One arm is crossed over his chest, palm cradling his opposite elbow in the cup of his hand. A finger taps by the corner of his mouth] Odd, I think. How powerful these deities must be, how far their reach extends to surpress our memories of this place in our own worlds.

Or, perhaps it is some trigger spell that activates upon dismissal from this place and releases upon re-entry to The City.

Either way, I would seek to renew acquaintances if any yet remain in this place. [A somewhat sharp smile.] Even you, Karl. [Gods have long memories.]

That this was a curse and shall dissipate soon. All the more reason to cleave his heart from his breast and bind him from doing harm, would you not agree?

Why should you ask that, anyway? It is an odd question.

How would you bind him from doing harm?

[ He pauses at that, but then answers honestly, because— what's the harm? Either it wasn't this Loki who killed him in which case it is relatively irrelevant whether he knows or not, or it was in which case he knows and Coulson loses nothing by refusing to play along. ] Do you remember the state I arrived in?

Very complicated, but the gist is, any blow he strikes against another would be returned upon him instead. I, personally, enjoy the heavy handed iron.

[Tips his head] Near death, if I recall. [He has an idea of where this is going and he doesn't like it.]

[ Expression still perfectly neutral. ] I was stabbed by Loki moments before my arrival.

I can assure you that does not happen in my world. [Empathy is an awkward emotion for him, okay.] Ah. And will not, here.

[ Phil doesn't say anything for a moment, eyes intent on the video feed as though he'll be able to discern whether Serrure, Loki, is telling the truth.

Eventually, he gives a nod. ] I would appreciate if it didn't.

I would give you my word, but...[Sheepish in an odd way because that is simply the way things are, his old self used up and trod on any lignering trust and this Loki is left without even his word as viable.]

I appreciate your honesty. [ Apparent honesty, because Phil's a reserved person by nature and made more so by virtue of his work and he'd only just started to let Serrure in. This pushes whatever trust and faith he might've had back quite a bit. ]

Thank you. [He is well acquainted with this sort of thing, but Coulson's reserve is neither outright vehemence or violence, so he will take it.]
