No, you don't want to go that way.
[The voice seems to come out of no where, but if you turn around and look closely at the wall behind you, you'll find a small, fluffy, blue worm watching you. He's not happy about having to lie, but it's his job. Besides....]
Would you like to come inside for a spot of tea instead? [You're not really in a hurry to get out of here, are you? Humor him or not? Or call him on his lies about directions?]
[ooc: And pretend I posted this three hours ago.]

[She's pretty sure that's the way she wanted to go. Then again, she hasn't exactly been trying to go anywhere in particular. And tea doesn't sound bad, actually, but she'd like to get an answer first.]

What kind of tea is it?

Should I just take one?
[She curiously picks up one of the cups of tea and examines it for a moment. It seems to smell pleasant enough, at least.]
action
Whichever one you prefer. Tell the cup to fill itself with that one.

I live here and know the Labyrinth quite well. [Well enough to send you in the wrong direction for being mean.]
no subject
And what are you supposed to be? A slug? A caterpillar?
no subject
I'm a worm.
Are you sure you wouldn't like some tea?
no subject
Since when do worms drink tea?
no subject
I don't know about other worms, but in this Labyrinth, I do.
no subject
[Pause.]
What sort of tea? Is it blood-flavored?
no subject
Is that how you take your tea? With blood? I'm sure you can find a supply around, if you wish to add it.
no subject
[No blood-supplies 8( Eyeing the worm speculatively.]
I don't suppose your blood would taste very good. Provided you have any...
no subject
I'm too small to get a good amount out of.
no subject
In that case, you may play my tour guide.
[Reaching for joo, Wormie!]
no subject
I don't need to play tour guide. I was giving you directions already.
no subject
And how do I know you aren't lying?
no subject
You don't.
no subject
Precisely.
You are coming with me. And no tricks.
no subject
Well, then.... You want to go the other way, it'll take you straight to the castle.
no subject
[Treacherous Wormies. And Karl will now stomp off is said direction, Worm in tow.]
no subject
No one said you had to listen to anyone else.
no subject
[Evil smile. He may still eat you 8(]
Besides. If you claim to know the Labyrinth, it saves both our time. And more importantly: Mine.
no subject
[No, don't eat me. I'm part of the Labyrinth. D:]
It's assured safe now. Just keep walking this way.
no subject
no subject
They should've just had the cup of tea. [Because in the Labyrinth, wasting time is saving time.] Or gone the other way.
no subject

[He turns and goes through a small opening in the wall. Charlie might not fit, but this is the Labyrinth - there's a larger entryway to the side, if you peek around the wall just right.]
late so late
Then, if I may ask, which direction should I go? And will it change after tea?
[ see, he's used to this place already. ]
Never give up!
[But he doesn't say how.]
Never surrender!
no subject
no subject
... but my finger might. [ and if it could inch the tea cup back out while his host wasn't looking... ]
no subject
Keep walking to the wall. You'll see. [To the left, there's an opening, the wall behind gives the illusions there's no passage there, just as on the other side.]
no subject
Dratted glasses! ] Is this close enough? [ he'd look down but his head would crash into the---
Oh.
So that's how it is. Clever. ]
no subject
[And inside, yes, there's tea. But there's no questioning how the worm managed to make it and get it in cups. There's a small cup for him, and a larger cup off to the side.]
Say what tea you want and it will fill in the cup.
no subject
[ and Liam had no doubt Rufus would ask (and expect) him to do it anyway. In less then a year! But he steps into the room and smiles down at the tea. How wonderfully delightful and with firm resolve, he speaks the name of a favorite, watching with pleasure as the smell of freshly brewed tea starts to fill the room.
It all seemed so perfectly normal. ]
no subject
Now when you leave, you know you want to go left. [That's all he says, going back to the tea, very little context. And he won't repeat it, either.]
no subject
Unless, of course, the tea lulls him into forgetfulness. ] You've been most helpful. Is there nothing I can do to repay you for the tea?
no subject
[Although, you never know with that tea....]
