[This is wrong. This is so god damn wrong. Nope. Can't like it at all. Nope nope nope. Charlie'd gone to bed in her apartment, human. Two legs. Two arms. Furless and most certainly not a wolf.

Currently, however? There is an agitated wolf with familiar green eyes staring at the video. Half-growling and half-whining, she paws at it, letting out the occasional yelp as if she's trying to get someone anyone's attention. The video is posed, pointed at the front door and for anyone that's been to Charlie's, they'd recognize the furniture.

God. Someone get her out of the apartment. This is nuts and the cats keep yowling at her and she just wants to get away from their angry nails and teeth.]

[ Howard knows he should check in more than he does, he's not good at remembering what day it is or how much time passes most of the time, though, but he's doing it now.

Except he doesn't get this. ] Not getting this. Lena, y'there, sweetheart? You never said you got yourself a - what's that thing anyway?

[Oh, for the love of...there is a grumbling whine from Lena and she looks at Howard with a slight huff. And then she leans her eye as close as she can to the camera. At least her eyes are recognizable, yes? What about the fur coloring? That's a particularly lovely shade of red, isn't it?]

[ But doesn't pay attention to details unless there's a puzzle to solve, something to fit together, and he's distracted with a distressing thought. ]

Jesus, you're a big wolf dog thing, ain't you? Makes me glad I decided not to go over unannounced. [ Pause. ] Hang on, if Lena's not there and you are, that don't mean you ate her, right? 'Cause that'd make you a bad dog.

[Why...what? Oh, God. No. This isn't working at all. She bounds off and there's a hiss heard from one of the cats. And then Charlie returns with her apron from The Jasmine Dragon. And..okay, don't laugh. She's trying to get her head through the loop that goes around her neck. Sure, it looks silly but Charlie's sure that if she could just get the thing on then maybe Howard would get a clue.

But then she freezes, watching something just beyond the camera and backs up slightly. Petrichor has come to investigate, keeping himself low and his ears back. He stretches out his neck to give Charlie's paw a sniff and then...relaxes and even flops against Charlie's side.

At least the cat recognizes her.]

[ He watches as much of this as the device lets him see, impressed at the wolf and boggled by the cat. He's always assumed the whole cats and dogs thing to be accurate. ]

Who you belong to, huh? You've got some pretty impressive moves there. Unless you're trying to tell me you ate Lena to take her job. [ That part is a ridiculous notion and even he knows it. ] Wonder where she is. Be nice to that cat, y'ain't gonna be popular if you hurt him.

[And Charlie flops over. She gives up. She quits. Howard, she adores you and loves you but what even. Oh, well. She goes back to trying to put the apron on, even going so far as to smack her paw against the name tag on it.]
