I have friends down there, and business, sometimes.

Are they native to the Underground or are they visiting, like yourself?

As far as I understand it, no one is 'native' to any part of the City.

Proper address for the otherwise is, depending on overall appearance, 'creature' and or 'being'. Avoiding using 'monster', it's considered a slur.

Keep to the warded paths and don't venture from the First level.

Are the warded paths clearly marked? Is it easy to tell when Im about to leave the First level?

Yes. Since Topsiders frequently visit, the 'roads' are marked for their benefit.

People visit the First level in relative safety, but nothing below that? Is it forbidden to do so or just strongly cautioned against?

The latter. On the lower levels, 'human' is a popular dish.

Ah, I see. Well, I wouldn't want to be on the menu, but I am curious.

What about being worn?

No, that doesn't really appeal, either. I prefer to remain intact, physically and psychologically.

Hull-o, Joan. It is my understanding that there aere much safer places to be, yes, but I find I'd like to learn all I can about this place, and that includes whatever lies Downbelow.

Mostly monsters, from what I've heard. I guess you wouldn't go down there without being able to protect yourself, but make sure to bring your device in case you run into trouble.

I will be armed, yes, and the device will be in my backpack.

Good. What are you hoping to learn from the experience?

Any information about this place could be useful in determining why we're here and how we can leave, without waiting for the random whim of those in charge.

I've heard that the Underground is quite extensive. I hope you find out something useful.
