[Korra had gotten up early that morning to train with Jinora. She was surprised that the young airbender hadn't woken her already, although Jinora had eased up in the face of Korra's injury.

The young girl isn't in her room.]

[ it's not too long before asami hears the commotion just a little outside of her room. cautiously, she opens her door to peek out, only to find korra limping around, looking panicked. ]

Korra? What's wrong...?

Jinora's not in her room. Have you seen her?

[ Lin comes out of her room as well. She was enjoying the quiet, and now the quiet has broken, rather earlier than usual. The idea of Jinora being out of her room is not good. There are only a handful of reasons she can think of for this, and none of them good.

Except, perhaps, if the girl has gone home. Even then, Lin realizes that she'll miss her. ]

Have you checked the network this morning? Perhaps there's a curse going on.

[ asami squeezes her eyes shut for a moment, a little too sleep-ridden still to properly handle shouting in the morning.

when she finally opens her eyes again, she's turning back into her room to pick up the handheld device she'd been lumped with upon arriving, scrolling through the contacts. despite it only being a few days since she arrived, she's made it a bit of a point to get familiar with the gadget... though there are still a few things she's still getting the hang of.

a contacts list, however, is not one of them. ]

[She's trying to convince herself that this isn't the Underground using the ongoing revolution to get its revenge on her. It's more likely that Jinora's been sent home. She's safe. She has to be safe.

Everything's fine, thanks. [Sorry if she sounds a little snippy. Her injuries are aching; she's had to tell Tenzin that his daughter is gone, and she's just....tired. Tired, and sad, and ready to curl up in a ball somewhere and be alone but some stranger (who she'll remember in a few minutes) is nosing in.]

You're still here! [You can't see it, but she's sagging with relief. Even though it's not fair and he would be safer at home.]

Yeah. Trying to get a layout of the place. [After knowing Republic City so well, it's uncomfortable not having a foot map in his mind's eye. And it's actually confusing. The ticking distraction isn't any help, either.]
