[She might be walking down the opposite side of the street, but Tohru's paying little attention to what's around her - the traffic and people on the other side of it. She's compelled to sing. Her voice isn't very strong, and normally would be drowned out by the crowds, but thanks to the curse by some chance she might be heard today.]

[Option B for the family]
[She's completely unaware an entire month has past since she was last in the City. To her it was a split second. And for the first time in a month, Jinora, Lin and Korra would have found breakfast made and their lunches packed this morning. As she tidies up for the morning, ready to head out for work, Tohru sings. And sings, and sings....]

[Tohru is a little worried patrons might complain at Oh Aces, or maybe Nathan might say something at Diva's Place, but she's incapable of stopping her voice. Her tunes do take on a sadder note (for brief intervals) at Diva's Place, as she feels the absence of both Karl and Diva. Even if Diva was a little scary and did bad things.]

[Korra is woken up by the unfamiliar sound of singing. Rubbing her eyes, she trumps down the stairs.]

Morning~! [There's a bit of a lilt to that.] Are you hungry, Korra?

[Korra stops and stares.

No. No way. It's not --]

Tohru?

[She is a little uncertain about Korra's reaction. She seems genuinely surprised to see her.]

Yes, Korra?

[ The Chief, up early to get ready for her own job, was just passing down the hallway when she heard Korra's voice rising in surprise. And there was a response.

She pokes her head into the kitchen and shares her own surprised look. ]

You came back.

[Surprised? Try dumbfounded.]

You're really bad.

[And then she's grabbing the other girl into a bone-crushing hug.]

Miss Lin! Back...?

[Tohru looks just as confused as the other two, but when Korra hugs her she softens and returns it, even if she's having a little trouble breathing.]

Was I gone? I went to sleep in my bed last night, then woke up this morning. I don't recall leaving.

[ Lin shakes her head. ] You've been gone for a few weeks. We thought you'd gone home.

[ A pause. ] Welcome back, as much as I dislike to say it.

[Better late than never, right? When Jinora finally deigns to leave her room, she's absolutely delighted to see the older girl.]

You came back!

[A little embarrassed, Korra steps back and gives the other girl an abashed grin.]

We've missed your cooking.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to leave.... It's odd, to have left and not notice. [Must have been a short leave outside of the City. Time really does move weird here.]

My cooking? [It can't be that good? Really?] Then I'll make plenty for you! Whatever everyone wants.

We noticed, and we missed you. [Jinora slips past Korra to hug Tohru tightly.] And we did miss your cooking, but not as much as you.

[Jinora isn't about to request food, though. Letting Tohru cook would involve detaching herself.]

[ Lin nods in agreement with Jinora. She's not going to get super emotional, but she is glad to see Tohru again, even though she feels like it's selfish of her. ]

[Korra doesn't want to get too emotional herself, although she's tempted to latch onto Tohru just like Jinora has. She saves herself from that particular embarrassment by looking at the spread laid out.]

This smells amazing!

[Tohru's back to all smiles, leans down and properly snuggles Jinora.]

Then I'm glad I've returned! I'll make a special meal for us tonight. [It's okay to celebrate returning to them, right?]

[She blushes, humbly flattered by Korra's comment.] And I hope breakfast is to your liking! Lunches are ready to go, too.
