It's pitted, it's got stains on it (blood stains) and looks, for lack of a better word, down right evil. That's three words, isn't it? For lack of three better words, it looks down right evil. Innocent, but at the same time evil.]

Worth is a strange thing, isn't it? I mean, this knife here is just bronze, right? A decent metal but most people wouldn't make weapons out of it any more. And yet it's over five thousand years old and so that gives it worth.

Back home, I know archaeologists who would pay an arm and a leg for it... someone else's arms and legs mind you, but still...

[He flips the knife up and catches it. Behind him a ghostly dragon drifts by chased by rats.]

For me, it's a family heirloom and a tool. No one else can use it besides me without horrible things happening to them.

So, which is better? For it to be sheltered and kept in a museum where people can appreciate it, in theory or it to be used for its purpose?

Which gives it more value?

Wow--isn't that, like, one of the major issues in museum stuff? Down to, like, Elgin Marbles stuff. Or maybe it's more at keeping bones in museums. It's all touchy, you know?

It's hard to say with knives as they can do both things. But other things, I can agree with.

For some of it, yeah. At least, for a lot of stuff I know the older folks around still want to use. My uncle discovered a piece of jewelry in a museum that he used to own and was rather.... .... peeved.

Some argue that having things on display in museums is use for it helps others learn about the past.

See? Now, where I come from it's normally the descendants of who discover the piece of jewelry and so on, but the idea is the important thing.

I guess that's the problem with having gods walking around. Though sometimes people say there's no way to prove that something belongs to the person clamming it. The necklace in question was found no where near our people's homeland.

Except we don't. We own the lands and have it set up to curse people who enter it without our permission but still, so called artifacts are still wandering around.
