The 79th Song

[Rapunzel's apartment has been awfully quiet since her roommates left the City. She's got a guest keeping her occupied now, though, a scaly little guest who set her shower curtains on fire this morning.

So now, Rapunzel and the dragon that she's started to call Dennis are sitting in her living room, just staring at each other.]

Okay, Dennis. You're bigger tonight than you were last night, and you're just gonna keep getting bigger, aren't you?

[Dennis responds by blowing a smoke ring and chirping. Rapunzel just smiles sightly, shaking her head.]

I take it that's a yes? I'm gonna assume that's a yes. We're going to need to find a way to shrink you before you get too big...

[Dennis just blows a little flame, and Rapunzel laughs.]

You owe me new shower curtains, you know.

[This face doesn't belong to Charlie at all. It belongs to a black dragon about the size of a cat, maybe bigger. She's watching Dennis with large, yellow eyes and occasionally tries getting his attention through snorts and the random puff of electricity. Those cause the feed to blur for a moment, static taking over before Charlie's face appears. The dragon's now on her shoulder.]

Affinity likes your dragon.

[ He chuckles. ]

I can shrink him.

Really? Oh, Merlin, that would be fantastic, thank you so much!!

[Dennis just stares at the video of the other dragon curiously, blinking and occasionally pecking at the screen, as if trying to touch the other dragon. Rapunzel laughs and grins.]

Charlie, Affinity, meet Dennis. Dennis, look, I think Affinity wants to be friends!

[Affinity chirps, nosing at the screen again before running around it a few times. Yes, she definitely wants to be friends. Hello, other dragon!

Charlie grins at Rapunzel.]

So he's a firebreather?

... Are you sure the dragon's safe?

It's no problem. Just tell me where.

[ He's more than happy to help people keep dragons. Amazing creatures. ]

I'd be careful if I were you. [Especially with all of her hair! That could be a disaster.]

I think so! Nothing big, though, just little puffs.

Well, we're at my apartment right now, but I can come to you if it's easier!

Apart from the shower curtains, he hasn't set anything else on fire. And honestly, I think that might have been an accident.

[Oh, that would be very bad.]

Don't worry, I'm being careful. Dennis didn't mean to set the curtains on fire, he sneezed and it just sort of happened...
