[She had done a great deal of harm to herself in a fit of panic over some of the previous weekend's events. It had frightened her, to lose control of herself so dramatically. She was not eager to repeat it, and if that meant learning how to ignore some of the city...

Only some of the city, however. She offers a faint smile of greeting.]

[She wonders how bad it is in the apartment next door if her room and increasingly their bathroom and kitchen are acquiring more and more of it. Its destruction of the water infrastructure, for the entire city, was bothersome to Carla. She had seen about buying and storing some water in the Underground before returning to the city and all its half-naked nonsense.]

No one said anything about multiples during the week, but they seem separate.
