In years past, I've been almost eager to celebrate Hallowe'en, as much to spite the 'deities' and the curses of the month before as anything else--even when I was quite sure there was a curse ready to strike on Hallowe'en night.
I'm not sure I feel quite so celebratory as all that this year.
Happy Hallowe'en, I suppose, City.
