[Accidental Video]
[Dean is sitting sideways in the driver's seat of the Impala. The door is open and his feet are on the ground. The device is sitting on the dash. He's the only person on screen. His has his elbows on his knees, his head buried in his hands.]
Don't you think I know that? [The words are out of his mouth before he realizes it and he straightens up as soon as he does realize what he said.] I know this is a second chance, Sir and I'm doing the best I can to make it count.
[There's a pause, Dean's back straightening and his jaw setting.] No, Sir. This place is ten kinds of messed up, but Yellow Eye hasn't shown up in a long time.
[There's another pause and Dean bows his head, nodding a bit.] Yeah. I know. I've been trying. He's...you know how he is. I can't just lock him up even if I could drag his giant ass to Bobby's panic room.
[There's almost a chuckle in Dean's voice and a grin spreads over his lips a little.] Yeah. Bobby was here for a while. He built a demon proof panic room, but I don't think Sammy's going to go willingly anytime I say jump.
[The smile on Dean's face disappears and he nods again, jaw squaring.] Yes, Sir. I know, Sir. I'll take care of him.
[Dean continues to sit at attention for a moment then shoves himself back into the seat with a grumble. He catches sight of the video on, rolls his eyes and reaches up to flip it off.]

[video]
[He swallows. Yeah, he heard that.]
Dean, where are you?
[video]
Garage. I've been working on the Impala.
[he glances to the person no one else can see.]
Come on down here, Sammy.
audio;
audio;
Yeah. I'm good. Dad's here for a visit.
audio;
[A good thing or a bad thing? But it's not that hard to guess.]
If things aren't good, you can say so. Maybe he'll mind, but I won't.
audio;
Nah it's...[Complicated. He loves his dad. He blame him for a lot of things he did and didn't do. He hates him for being a drill sergeant first and a father second. It's amazing to have him here and not be responsible for everything. Somehow, John will make things okay here. He'll take over and Dean just has to follow orders. There are days he misses that.]
He's right. I can't screw this up.
audio;
[She wouldn't mind if he told her to take off--she is being awfully nosy--but Penny likes Dean and it'd be nice to know something about him. Anything. All she really has to go off of is that he likes his car and one of his ex-girlfriends drank mimosas.]
audio;
audio;
[Because Dean seems like the kind of guy who can do anything if he sets his mind to it.]
There's not much to do about whatever happened at home but do the best you can here.
