[he lowers the thing, taking a look around--a bit frantic, and trying very, very hard not to be frantic, okay. Weird, unfamiliar scents all over the place, too many sounds--way, way too bright. He can’t smell out the Grimm anywhere. He can’t even figure out where he is in relation to his house. If he’s even still in Portland. Which, he’s pretty sure he’s not--this place is huge, and newer looking, and full of people--and not people--just breathe, Monroe, you’re not going to panic--even if this situation is cause for some serious freaking out, we’re not doing that, because it’s counter productive, and oh God, this is not happening.]

Dammit.

Look, if this is some kinda joke--Reynaldo? Nick? Not funny, okay? [He looks back at the device, trying to be stern, and failing.]

[The feed switches off and Charlie arrives a few minutes later. The aforementioned towel is in her hand. She gives him a friendly half-smile and holds it out to him.]

[The towel is most certainly dryer fresh and Charlie probably smells like Krispi Kreme donuts, apples and sort of like fire. since the mun is 99 percent sure Monroe's senses are heightened. ]

At her arrival--and the sickly sweet aroma of donuts to rival Voodoo Donuts that Nick loves to bring over all the damn time--he looks up, trying not to look like a guy poised to bolt. Which he isn't. Honestly. He just--takes to leaving fights these days, rather then participating.

The towel is clean, though. And she definitely doesn't smell dangerous. Yet. He stands and takes the cloth offered, nodding shortly--] Uh--thanks...Monroe. which City did you say?

[He takes to drying his head first, scrubbing at his hair]

[There's a shrug and a half-displeased smile on her face as she continues.] The name Gabe gave the place fits. It's a pocket dimension. It kidnaps people somehow. Brings them here and I've been told several times that there's no exit. The deities that run the place decide when people come and go.

[There isn't a single indication that Charlie is lying, sadly this is because she isn't. And she looks apologetic when she tells him.]
