[Dean is sitting at his desk in the police station when he turns the camera on. He leans over, close to the video and grins.]

Okay, so today is the Sasquatch's birthday and since everyone knows Sam's a big girl, every time you see him, give him a hug. Hell, tell him he's pretty and kiss him for good measure then tonight about seven or so head out to the bar [random npc not quite a dive but almost bar] and come celebrate with us.

[Action]

When people arrive at the bar, Dean will already be there, sitting near the door and drinking a beer. He's bribed the bar owner (and promised he'd clean up after wards) to let him decorate so the place currently looks like it puked up Pepto and sparkles. There's a banner hanging across one wall that says Happy Birthday Princess!! The cake is sitting near the back at a table under the banner. It's huge, in the shape of a princess crown and iced in pink and purple. It says Happy Birthday Sam.

Also, there might be party hats and noisemakers. Dean clearly thinks Sam is a six year old girl.

Mingle, dance, drink and enjoy the party.

[During the day, as Sam goes out and about, you can find him in various places. This is where you follow Dean's instructions or not, as you wish.]

[By now, Sam knows something is up. And he remembers well what he did to Dean on his last birthday. So he's wary as he enters, but he's expecting anything at all.

Except, maybe, this.]

[Dean is snickering when Sam comes in because this is awesome. He's got you a party hate, Dude and guess what? It's a tiara.]

Sammy! I have one very serious question for you.

[Pause for dramatic effect.]

Do you feel pretty today?

[You know the bitchface, Dean? Do you? You'd better. You're getting it now.]

Wow. You really care.

[Dawn doesn't know whoever that guy was talking, but he's talking about Sam, who she does know. And she's assuming it's Sam's brother that Sam had been talking about (younger sibling solidarity, okay?) So she arrives wearing this little party dress and some cute silver sandals. She's carrying a carefully wrapped package, and is looking around for Sam. She spots the boy who had been on screen (Dean) and walks over to him, barely looking at him, but instead slipping up to the tips of her toes and trying to look over the heads of the crowd.]

So is he here yet? Probably not. I think with his tallness I'd see him above everyone and all the everything.

It's heart warming, isn't it?

[Hanna arrives with a big stupid grin on his face, his dog Sam with him (who also seems to have a big stupid grin on his face), and a present in his arms.]

I'm assuming that Sam's not here yet.

[Dean knows what happened with Dawn and it kind of hurts. Oh, he knows it's not her fault but that doesn't make it hurt any less. He'd kind of looked at her like a little sister. Still did for the most part, but when he first got here, everyone (including a version of Dawn) told him what his relationship to them was and he hated it so he's not going to do that to her. Instead he's going to grin and act like, for the most part, he's meeting her for the first time.]

Nah, not yet, but he should be here pretty soon. You're Dawn, right? I'm Dean, Sam's older brother.

Should be any second. Hey Hanna, how are you?

[ooc: the bar thread up there that Sam started is open action for anyone.]

[And he cracks a smile, because in spite of everything, it's obvious that Dean does. And no matter how crappy his birthday has been lately, Dean's trying. Like Sam tried a few months ago.]

Yeah, it is. I'd kiss you and tell you you were pretty, but you know, I don't need any more photos showing up.

[She sighs and smiles, turning to Dean and nodding. Sam had mentioned that she wasn't the only one with an older sibling and it was nice to know that her assumptions had been correct about Dean being Sam's older brother. Otherwise just talking to some random guy for no reason would be super awkward.]

You know, I can kind of see the resemblance like around the lip area. It's very Sam-like. Or... I guess since you're older his lips are very Dean-like. And yeah, I'm Dawn. It's nice to meet you. Sam and I have been doing the whole bonding thing cause he knew me before and plus he's cute, I mean nice and... well, here I am in a cute dress in which I now feel way too dressed up for the occasion in. [Her grace strayed to some other people in the bar.]

[ Elena is picking up sandwiches for the office. Receptionist is a glorious job with several different parts to it. Errand-girl is just one. But, she's a) getting paid and b) hungry. She also has no problem picking the up.

When she turns, she spots Sam. She was a room away when Dean made his big announcement. She smiles to herself, amused. His brother must really love him - to want people to mess with him.

She waits for her order quietly. If Sam comes up to her she may play along. But, she won't go out of her way. ]

[ Elena takes a chip, looking down at the party hat choice before Sam's arrival. ]

Is that a tiara?

[ later on, she waits for a polite moment to wish Sam a ]

Happy Birthday.

[Elena's been really decent to him, so when he sees her, of course he'll come up and say hi. Smiling, he steps over to the shop on his way here or there. He hopes she's not still upset about the network thing, in the sense that she'll be sensitive to them being seen in public.]

Hey, Elena.

[ooc: :D I'll dump Hanna in there in a sec!]

I'm pretty good, Dean, thanks! How're you doing?

[Polite? In here? Sam turns, drink in hand, and smiles.]

Thanks.

[Hanna is going to town on the snacks when Sam finally shows up. He has to make sure to swallow before he can grin and give Sam a big wave.]

Hey, man, happy birthday!

[ Elena has zero reason not to be decent to anyone. Vampires. Demons. Men here that may have come on way too strong (not you, Sam) and nobody has tried to kidnap or kill her for her blood. But, to Sam's credit he is equally decent.

Looking front, her lips curl into a smile when Sam makes contact.

Dean asked. And she's Dean's employee. She also gets messing with a sibling.

She's also way over the post on the network. She's clearly not sleeping with anyone, much less brothers.

She looks at Sam and pulls him into a hug. Pulling back, she does what she was asked. ]

You look really pretty today.

[ he could be talking? she's not going to interrupt. Elena's is a water. she has drank before. but not to excess and she has work in the morning ]

Were you surprised?

[Sam waves back. He's not used to this sort of thing, but hey... it's actually nice.]

Hey, thanks. How's it going?

[When Sam's able to pull back he stares down at her, dumbfounded.]

I... what?

Good, good! Brought a friend with me to say happy birthday.

[Little Sam the dog is around here somewhere...]

Though I don't know where he ran off to...

[Sam laughs.]

Not really. Once I figured out something was up--thank you very much--I knew Dean was behind it.

{Doesn't make it any less nice of him, though.]

Can I get you something more fun to drink?

You heard me.

[ She lets go, and waits politely for her name to be called, her maintaining a smile. ]

... I was the first of many.

[ she gets it. and now she feels that much more special. ]
