[ The video's a shaky Cloverfield-style, as Donna captures the image of the frightened child, and it juts upward into the sky-- Donna gasps. ]

[ Donna almost completely throws the little thing toward the door to her apartment building, turning to face the descending trio of Daleks, chin high and shaking like a leaf. ]

We're-- not hurting anyone. You don't have to do this, you know. The deities won't stand for it, anyway!

QUIET! YOU WILL TAKE US TO THEM! OR YOU WILL BE EXTERMINATED!

No-- please, I can't-- it won't matter! I'll just come back, we all do!

SILENCE!

[ In a flash, Donna is thrown up and against the brick of her building, an electric arc extending from the lead Dalek into Donna's chest. She falls against the ground motionless, the device falling out of her hand to clatter onto the ground next to her. The Daleks zoom back up into sky, onto their next victim. ]

[The talk and noise attract HWKdalek. Motors over, finding a body. Gently nudges its skirt's edge against her.]

[ What - what did she just watch? It was like Cloverfield, or a... snuff film. She just watched a woman die. On video. She may never watch Jersey Shore again - not that she did it religiously. It was one time. But, sometimes MTV was on in the background - back when she had time to watch T.V. This is horrific. Is this what the graffiti is about? Is this a curse? She's seen death before, she's seen death right in front of her eyes but a complete stranger... she just watched die. She doesn't like The City and she's not going outside. ]

[ If she ever gets around to checking Donna's apartment, she won't find Donna's body-- or her device. Everything has vanished! ]

[ As he goes, she convulses, and sits up-- an odd energy emitting from her eyes, breathing out of her nose. Her eyes don't see much around her but up she gets, slow, blinking away.

Maybe he's already gone, too far to notice the transformation behind him? ]

[After seeing that, Jack is running through the streets looking for her.]

Donna? Donna! [Yep, frantically calling her name even though he knows there won't be an answer.]

[ That's all right, Jack. Seems to be the way folks like to handle things around here. Maybe he'll meet up with Rose where Donna's body should be? ]

[Rose will check Donna's flat and she won't stop there. When everything is gone she heads for the magic shop and then her own flat.]

[ Oh, Donna. And he was really beginning to like her a lot, too. Before he can even think about it, he's pounding down the street to find her, motivated primarily by his rage. Any Daleks that get in his way are going to regret being made, that's for sure.

And there's the kid. He hopes the child is okay. ]

[ He'll come across her there, sprawled beside her building, and crouch down beside her. There's no way she's still alive, but no way he's just going to leave her out here, either. Maybe people don't stay dead in this City, but it wouldn't be right. ]

[ He grabs her arm in preparation to pick her up and drag her inside. ] Oh, Donna, you were so fantastic. Couldn't have expected more from you.

Donna's eyes pop open, she takes a big gasp of air and up she sits, probably almost conking her head against his. ]
