[Carla is looking pleased with herself, for once. Although why that might be is... probably not going to be immediately obvious to anyone else because the entire video is blaring with a very loud noise. A steady stream of a drumline, a vocalist who shrieks and growls constantly. It makes a cacophonous sort of white noise. She has always said she isn't a big fan of music, maybe this explains it.
Sitting on a park bench, watching the agitated looks of the people who walk past her, Carla is all smiles now, popping jelly beans into her mouth one by one. When she addresses the camera she isn't quite audible, but one might be able to read her lips,]
I don't think I'm coming to work today.
[[ooc; Please assume there is high volume death metal shrieking away in all threads unless otherwise designated, please and thank you!]]

Turn it off.

I can't hear you.
[And Saya probably can't hear her.]

It's metal.
[Of course it's loud.]
no subject
[That was a snap.]

[Justin is being accompanied by Styx, much to his chagrin.]
Video;
Enjoying yourself this fine morning, Ms. Carla?
laffo. wait.
I can barely hear you.
It's all good!
Your music. Does it have any personal significance?
Video;
Hey.
continuity. what is that.
I like it.
ffff
[He could be referring to her music, his, or the curse as a whole. Maybe all of the above.]
Video;
This isn't such a bad curse. Can't imagine why everyone's complaining.
[Although temporary deafness might be a good reason :|]

I'm not a big fan of 'music.'
[She's kind of glad her own soundtrack is drowning out the rest.]
Video;
[She can't. It's awesome.]
no subject
[Because her music doesn't even qualify as music in his book.]
Video;
[In emphasis, he pulls a disgusted face. He actually heard a 'Nickleback' song somewhere on the Network, man :|]

What about you?
[She can't hear it, is he cursed?]
Video;
[Death metal and techno, the less discernible the lyrics were, the less whimsy and fantasy it tried to evoke, the happier she was.]
Video;
Half of it should be outlawed. As an abomination against Nature. [He chuckles.]. But at least it cancels out their whining.
Video;
[Because Carla is a nice lady.]
Video;
I'd try to. But they're so ridiculously sensitive about violence in the City. Tthe last time I played disciplinarian, I ended up locked in a cell.
Video;
Only if you're caught.

Well, and the dog trying to hide under the couch. Blonde's music has been completely drowned out by hers. ]
Video;
[Said half-playfully, half-earnestly.]
At first, I avoided capture. But it was my own brother who lured me out...
[Families suck B|]

Video;
[Carla hated her own two brothers, and would never believe anything out of their mouths. Although, Jerome was much less of a manipulative prick than Donovan.]
no subject
Yes, yes he is. ]
no subject
...is that Rex?
Video;
[His own 'brothers' hadn't seen him as anything but a tool. A voiceless test-subject. And Solomon, despite his seeming kindness, had been the worst. He'd helped to kill Karl. And, in effect, robbed him of his blissful suicide with Saya. His chance to be with the one he loved. For eterity.]
Brothers are the most despicable foes. Because they know our secrets. They know where to hurt us. And they strike only when we're most vulnerable.

Blonde has no idea what the fuck is going on. ]
no subject
Good boy.
no subject
It's a good thing their neighbors are probably terrified of them. ]
Video;
My brothers never knew me that well.
[She had been the one to make them cry. She was the reason Jerome was insecure now, she was the reason Donovan was so defensive and aggressive. She had shredded them.]
But shouldn't they be vulnerable to you too?
Video;
[He mirrors her smile then. He enjoys the way she thinks.]
There's only one brother here. And I do know his darkest vulnerability. I plan, very soon, to exploit it.
[By escaping from his cell, Diety-request style. And kidnapping Saya from under Solomon's nose. He can't think of anything that terrify his ever-calm brother more.]
no subject
I'll see you guys later.

Blonde nods, the dog having missed the goodbye in favor of howling more. He's going to whine once the sound is gone, Vic just knows it. ]
Video;
Make sure he cries, Karl.
[She'd hate to lose respect for you.]

I like classical music.
None of this is classical.
no subject
[She looks a little disgusted. But she is the first to admit that she has no taste. In fact, it crosses her mind that she would never want to fuck someone to classical music. Her palate wasn't particularly sophisticated.]
