[Sebastian wasn't entirely used to waking up in foreign places. He was rather good at keeping track of where he was and how he got there, but not today. None of what he was seeing looked or felt familiar. For a second he felt a spark of relief. He might finally have some space to-

No. He could feel it. Ciel was here. And he wasn't the only one. He eyes the device he is holding carefully before speaking in to it.]

Pardon me, but would someone so kindly inform me of my whereabouts?

[A pause.]

And if anyone could direct me to one Ciel Phantomhive it would be much appreciated.

[Sickly sweet, the words came. Oh how he wanted to just turn the other direction and run until he couldn't anymore. But he felt a certain obnoxious demon in the area as well and he needed to make sure either of them weren't doing anything particularly stupid.

You're late.

[But that doesn't begin to express how very angry Ciel IS with Sebastian right now. He abandoned him, didn't come when he called, left him to rot in this infernal city with Alois Trancy of all people as if this was own personal hell.

He could still build one for Sebastian. He could make him suffer. Make him pay for not coming immediately.]

Had enough fun without me around?

You. [It's the same tone Alois would use against a stray, rabid dog on his doorstep.]

[Well that certainly didn't take long. He watched Ciel carefully for a moment. He was angry. Why? What had he done?]

Apologies, My Lord.

[It was awkward bowing to a projected image of Ciel rather than him himself.]

Forgive me, but I do not understand. I have not been without you save for the past couple of minutes.

[One child to deal with was more than enough but he had to deal with this brat too? Clearly he had done something wrong. He was certain Alois had been, at the very least, dead.]

Yes, I believe that is accurate.

[ That voice. That infuriating voice that made him want to just... freaking... hurt something.

Didn't expect to see that crow here. But that completely screws up his plans. Here he was alone with Ciel... kind of... but then perhaps it was only a matter of time. ]

It has been two months, Sebastian. Are you stupid? Or are you simply playing off as though you have no idea?

[It's much easier to blame Sebastian for not coming sooner, for not understanding and be angry than it is to understand it was possibly beyond his control.]

Come to me immediately. You've made me wait long enough.

[ Heh. Ooooor he could use this to his advantage. So many ways this could go. ]

[ At any rate, best to say hello, right? If that semblance of a very small smirk is any indication. ]

I suppose it was only a matter of time.

[He didn't even bother contesting his first accusation. Not now anyway. In a matter of seconds he was standing before Ciel, preparing for what he was certain would be a rather hefty slap to the face. If Ciel had truly been without him for two months, he expected some sort of punishment.]

Already back? Well. I guess you couldn't stay away for too long. You do have a contract with your demon master. [Yes, he's going to rub this in your face in any way he can. He punished you once and he plans to do so again. He won't allow you to take Ciel or Claude away from him.]

[Certainly this place couldn't have gotten any worse, and yet here he was, staring at the demon he knew he had killed. Disgust wasn't even strong enough to describe how he felt towards this spider. Surely he was being punished for some events he couldn't recall.]

[And Ciel does do just that. Though he's significantly stronger now when he does it, it's not enough to break anything but he's certain it hurts. He trembles, breathing heavily after he drops his hand -- he doesn't want to admit he actually missed his presence.

He doesn't want to admit that Sebastian not being here made his existence infinitely more worthless and difficult.

He's relieved but also vehement. And he's not about to calm down anytime soon. Sebastian left him here to get rid of him. Left him here after promising never to leave his side. Left him here because he was now a demon and his soul couldn't be reached.]

How dare you! Did you think damning me to a place like this wouldn't have consequences?!

[He wasn't used to Ciel's hits having any sting, not yet, so he moves with the slap to alleviate some of the damage. He doesn't turn back to face Ciel, not right away. What was going on here? He sighs and turns back to face Ciel. He could let himself be walked all over by this child or he could explain himself and stand firm.]

I did no such thing. I don't know what this place is or how either of us have arrived, but I did not leave you here. There would be absolutely no point to leaving you in a foreign land. I am bound to you. Such efforts would be futile. Berate me all you like but know that your punishment is unjust.

[Not that he really cares. You could beat him all you liked Ciel, it wouldn't change his viewpoint. But if it would make you feel better and let him have a little room to breathe, he would let you.]

Yes, I believe I do. All the better. My being here means I can be by his side at all times.

[If you think you're going to touch Ciel while he is around, think again Alois. He had no qualms about killing children if he needed to.]

[ The smirk's undeniable. Hah. So even Sebastian wasn't above being pulled into this place. Perhaps this wasn't so much as his own personal hell just yet if he had another to torment. ]

I suppose we find ourselves cellmates of sorts in this... purgatory.

[ That gleam in his eyes is more of a 'welcome to hell' though. ]

Your master will be expecting you. Best not be late.

[He doesn't trust him. Of course he understands that Sebastian cannot lie because of his orders -- but also he can omit the truth where he pleases. Did not leave him here? Perhaps he considered it an unfortunate accident but even then he could ignore the pull of their contract.

It would ultimately lead him back to where he began. To Ciel.

He feels like wailing on him but he can't really bring himself too. He doesn't want to swallow his anger and admit he might be wrong about all of it.]

You are in no position to tell me what is unjust.

[His voice is quieted now, he's still trembling, he swallows hard. In the end he truly is a child.]

Whatever you get now, you deserve, do not forget your station. If you do not come when I call you then you chose not to come, if you ignore the contract, you ignore me -- so whatever punishment I choose is entirely acceptable.

[You're just lucky this is a video, Michaelis. Because Alois has no qualms in scarring handsome demon faces either.] Looks like you think he'd even want you around. He's actually very busy spending time with me, these days. You can always go help Claude in the kitchen.

[He bites back the sigh that rises in his throat but cannot stop the words before they escape.] It seems my words will continue to fall on deaf ears.

[He takes a step back and lowers himself on to one knee, hand placed over his dark heart and head bowed. He was a servant. Bowing to his master shouldn't be something that made him want to vomit, but here he was, bowing at the foot of another demon, apologizing for something he had no control over. It was better to appease the child than to fight him.]

My deepest and most profound apologies, My Lord. I swear to you that I will not leave your side again. I ask that you find it in your heart to forgive this humble servant.

[Tch. This was ridiculous.]

If you are able to say such words certainly you do not understand my Master. I believed you understood what the bond a servant and master of our stature entailed. Perhaps I was wrong to assume you would understand such things.

[He could feel how Sebastian wasn't truly sincere. He could feel that this was only a courtesy he was doing to stave off whatever Ciel was going to do to him. Ciel wasn't sure he could actually bring himself to punish Sebastian in the end- if only because his reactions hadn't been what he expected.

He expected some sort of gloating. Not an apology.]

You do not mean it so it means nothing. What is it you really want to say to me, Sebastian?

[His voice is cold and soft as snow, but there's warning there, a sternness that his visible blue eye shows that you should fear. Everything you are is in his hands and he's not afraid to break you in two.]

[Tch. Foul, disgusting creature. His wont be the only torment you taste in this place.]

Unfortunate, really.

[The return smirk is more of a challenge than anything.]

I do not need to be reminded of such things by the likes of you.

I was never one to play by the rules. I prefer to make them. [A giggle.] After all, who has ever heard of a demon bound to serve another demon for eternity? Without ever getting to eat his soul? I hope your hunger won't make you feel too weak. After all, you will need to look after the dog.

[He looks up but does not flinch away when the two of them make eye contact.]

I mean what I say. I will stay by your side for as long as you desire it.

[Somehow, part of him wondered if those words were more genuine than the rest.]

Time and life are very malleable things, Young Trancy. [He doesn't cringe at the sound although he would like to.] Certainly you have your own butler that can take care of you.

[ Apparently, it's a whole bloody house of torment. But don't worry, not!bro. He's on it. Already, wheels in his head are ticking like a blasted time bomb waiting to happen. ]

Perhaps if you'd managed to arrive earlier as any proper butler should.

[ Challenge accepted, man. ]
