This is bloody ridiculous.

First off, I've been in this line for the past two days, because each time I get close I feel as though I have no right to go through until everyone else has.

And now it's growing slugs.

Well, they gave me a ticket and told me to wait until my number was called, but then I had to get another because I gave my first one to someone who'd gotten sick from the heat. But I think it'll be anytime now, really.

I'm near the, um...well, there's a sort of rather large stack of dirty-looking boxes, and a lady in a red dress near them? I'm near there, if you can spot it.

What difference does it make? It's the same thing.

You gave it up because someone looked hot, I gave it up because I've been looking for you.

...I'm sorry, though. I don't think all this sand has been good for my device, so I've been trying to save it by not using it as much.

You're all right, too, aren't you? You've been managing? You're not sick or hurt or...ugh, anything to do with all these slugs?

No slugs, not yet.

[primrosella]

I keep finding them crawling around here and there. It's troublesome, finding ways to squish them whenever I do.

Don't you dare let one near you.

[primrosella]

I won't. I remember them from the last time we saw them.

I don't and I know they're trouble-

A moment, I see you.

[He's waving]

[primrosella]

[It takes her a minute, standing up on her tiptoes like the extra inch or two will help, but then eventually she spots the motion of his hand and waves back.]

Oh! There you are, I see you too.

...My goodness, you look a fright.

[wandbreaker]

I haven't slept.

[He looks exhausted.]

[primrosella]

...Because you've been looking for me?

[She motions him over, intent on straightening out his hair and fussing over him a little.]

[wandbreaker]

Who else would I be looking for?

[primrosella]

That's not what I meant, and you know it.

[Yes, she is licking her thumb and wiping some dirt off his cheek while she's at it.]

[He's taking this like a pro. His nan did the same thing]

There. That's a bit better.

And now you are going to get some rest.

Only if you mean that we're going through.

[primrosella]

I mean you are going to sit right down and have a nap and let me keep watch and worry about you awhile, until one or both of us gets called to go.

If you let a slug near my head I'll never trust you again.

[He's totally lying.]

Oh, shush, as though I'd ever.

You might if I said your nose was enormous today.

[Which doesn't mean that's what he's saying.]

If you said that, I might pour water on you to wake you up when it was time, but I still wouldn't go so far as to let any slugs near you.

You would never waste water that way.

I caught some of the rainwater in a bottle when it was coming down so hard yesterday. I'm sure I could manage to spare a bit.

[Except no, he's probably right.]

But what if someone needs it?

...Oh, all right, I'll just pinch you instead. Is that better?

[wandbreaker]

Well, it's certainly less wasteful.

Stop being difficult and get some rest, so I don't have to feel so awful that you stayed up looking for me.

[primrosella]

[She looks around a bit, finding a relatively clean place near a wall, and then sits down obligingly, straightening her skirt around her legs as she does so.]

[He sits next to her and leans his head on her shoulder]

[primrosella]

[She'll ball up her scarf and slip it under his head to make things a little more comfortable on him, too. They're in the shade, she'll manage without.]
