I've been able to make contact with a handful of people through the barrier between the cities but it's getting too difficult. It looks like I've only got enough cobbled together here for one more trip back over from the sand to the glass city, so the Doctor Doctor's All-Aboard Desert Not-A-Bus-This-Time Ferry Transport Line is leaving Point A tomorrow morning and headed for point B, and that'll be that. Anybody left out here who wants to be on it ought to be here by then, because I'm not sure how long I'll be able to keep the components in working order without enough replacements.

[Static is so much better than texts. She gets to actually hear his voice. He does sound tired though, deeply tired and when he does get home, she'll try to make sure he gets some sleep; sleep with her snuggled up next to him of course. She'll want to be attached at the hip again.]

Nah, didn't miss you at all. [She can't hold it and her voice completely belies her words.] Might not let you outta reach for at least a week.

[She missed him so much it nearly hurt. She managed to keep busy enough but it didn't make missing him go away. It just made the time pass a bit faster and let her avoid dwelling on how much she missed him.]
