Monday Monday... everyone hates Monday... Video

[The feed clicks on and Theo is holding up a coffee mug in his hand. It's a rather boring mug, with paisley flowers on it, but other than that unremarkable. Theo, however, is sporting a fantastic black eye and another bruise on his chin. While normally a bit on the pale, needs to be warmed up a bit side of things the black eye really brings out the I look like some sort of dead thing in him.]

Do you know what I really miss from back home? Martha Stewart's Heat'em or Freeze'em line of tableware. Lovely colors and you just have to say 'warm' or 'cool' and the cup or plate will... heat up or cool down whatever is in or on it.

[He sips from the cup and makes a face at it.]

Having to microwave lukewarm coffee is really annoying.

[Is someone a spoiled, over privileged brat? Yup.]

Anybody know what happened to me over the weekend? I woke up this morning feeling like I'd been in a fight and I don't remember a damn thing.

It looks like you were in a pretty fantastic fight. [He grins.] Maybe the other guy will answer and you can see who looks worse.

[He smiles ruefully at the cat-dragon.]

It feels more like I was on the losing side of a fantastic fight.

[He touches his jaw lightly and winces. Theo has very little illusions about his ability to fight. Despite all his power as a demi-god he's not a very good physical fighter. He's rarely needed to be. People have always avoided fighting him for fear of him, his father or his wife. He can take punches that most mortals can't and walk away from it... but he can't necessarily block them in the first place.]

I'm wondering what happened over the weekend, too...

Why? What happened to you?

Someone broke into the casino.

What did they take?

[He sounds surprised at this. Who'd do that?]

That's the odd part -- nothing of importance. Some of the lost and found items, some accounting paperwork, some cigarettes...

Weird.

Maybe they were high or something.

It's certainly possible. They broke one of the drawers on my desk.

You should check for fingerprints.

[This is a rare bit of Theo that doesn't come out often here... not so much the law abiding but the I work for an investigation team back home and that's something we'd do side.]

Yeah, sure, I could do that, except I doubt there's anywhere around here that has everyone's fingerprints on record, and convincing everyone to let me fingerprint them to find out who broke my desk probably wouldn't go over well.

Point. I forgot we're not back home.

At lest they didn't take anything important.

I suppose not, although I'd certainly like to have the accounting papers back. They're not sensitive, per se, but reconstructing them will be... tedious.
