[Rose stands in front of a counter piled with clothes as she goes through varies garments and starts to fold piece by piece as in front of her are a number of people wandering around the shop. It’s unusual for a weekend even with pre-holiday sales. She stops her work as someone approaches with a sales question.]

Yeah, just so you know everything today is buy one, get the second for 50% off. Hell of a deal, yeah?

[She grins as the customer leaves and she looks down at her device.]

Reckon it’s shaping up to be a great day today.

[The Doctor enters the store, casting odd glances at some of he attire. He sees a customer admiring a sheer nightgown. Frowns.]

I don't think I'll ever understand women's fashions. Now, where's Rose?

[Rose is in the middle of helping a customer out when she sees a familiar face. She finishes with the customer pointing to where they can find the item and then heads his way. She grins and hugs him.]

Uncle! Blimey it's good to see you.

Ah, Rose. It's been too long. How are you, my dear?

Keeping busy. How have you been?

[Shrugs.]

Don't know really.

[Takes a closer look at her.]

There's something different about you.

Oh come on you've got to know. Don't tell me you've been locked up in the TARDIS all this time?

[Her grin holds.]

Really? Must be today's sales.

Well, I have been in the TARDIS quite a bit lately.

[Frowns.]

Not really the same nowadays.

[That makes her frown. It worries her.]

I'm sorry. Maybe it's time you got a room mate.

Hm, yes. The TARDIS isn't the same without Jamie or Zoe anymore. I didn't realize how much I'd gotten used to traveling with someone.

[Another sympathetic glance and she debates. She knows how he is on his own even if she hasn't really traveled with this version of him.]

Well maybe you need a change in scenery. M'sorry.

Yes. A lot of the reason why I travel. A change of scenery.

[Looks at her.]

Never mind. How have you been? Have you seen Pinstripes lately?

[She knows that he must really be hating it here now but when he mentions her Doctor, Rose frowns.]

No, haven't really seen him. Tried to phone him but couldn't get a hold of him. Reckon he's busy with her still or working on his plan.

Doctor, you know you don't gotta be on your own. You could stay over if you like.

Oh dear. Aren't you afraid I'll frighten off your young suitors?

[Rose laughs at that.]

I wouldn't worry about that. I haven't seen the Professor in a while.

Hm. And your Doctor?

[Rose does her best to maintain a straight face at the mention of her Doctor.]

What about him?

Well...nothing really. I'm not sure how he'd react.

It's not like we're together.

[She distracts herself by turning to a rack of clothes and sorting them out.]

Besides, he'd rather stay in his TARDIS anyway. He suggested it once when he first arrived that I should've taken you in.

So he can make sure I stay out of trouble I take it.

Dunno. You'd have to ask him.

I don't think I have to. I never dreamed I'd be anything like him. Is he going through a...a midlife crisis?

[All sorted she looks back over at him.]

Midlife crisis? Why would you think that? He hasn't bought a sports car yet or gone out with a girl half his age.

Well, considering the personality, I don't think I would put it past him.

[Frowns and shakes his head.]

We'll have to see I suppose. Reckon he'd probably go for a ginger.

Not a blonde then?
