[ He's watching the fireworks from the kitchen window because at least that way Bagel and Crepe can't escape and still have him around to stop them being like why did daddy leave us with the loud noises for now. He's already missing half a shirt and his favourite book because of October and he knows it's not good for either of their diets. Currently he's nursing a beer, wearing a soft looking shirt that's pushed up to the elbows. ]

You're kind of late for fourth of July. [ A hum and he takes a sip of his drink, the sky lit up with bright, brilliant colours. ] Or early. Guess it's either one of 'em future things or a celebration I just don't know about.

[The fireworks sound much closer to her. Probably because she's all up on the rooftop for this, so she's yelling.]

[ His smile is indulgent. He'd never met the two twins but he can imagine if they are anything like her. ] Yeah, I can see that.

[ He hasn't really had all that much opportunity to be back at the apartment. What with the whole monster thing everyone had really needed the police and Bucky hadn't minded but it's been nice to not have to go anywhere. ]

I leave now and Crepe and Bagel're gonna start a revolution.

That might be appropriate, but I reckon we've had enough of those lately.

[The whistling and banging of fireworks fades a little as Ginny moves off into the stairwell of an apartment building, voice echoing a bit as she steps down to get some quiet and to sit for a bit.]

A quiet night sounds fine, too. Doesn't mean you can't celebrate. I'll have Sir Weatherby come by, he doesn't mind the fireworks if he flies low.

Hey, I don't want your owl to be out there just like I don't want the cat getting out there.

[ As if on cue, Bagel springs up beside him, nudging his nose against the edge of Bucky's beer bottle. ] I told you already, kid.

[She pauses, because she can't see the cat.]

[ Swinging the video down to where the kitten is officially trying to destroy the tea towel. He's not sure if he ever told Ginny he adopted a cat - probably not because Steve keeps trying to get Bucky to give him up. ]

I can wait a day.

[She lets the switch happen in their conversation, looking a little tired in the sharp fluorescent light of the stairwell. But she's smiling when she sees the cat, eyes alight.]

[ Bucky scoops him up into his arm and moves to the living room with him where Crepe is sleeping on the couch. ] You'd think he'd learn living with Steve but nope.

He had to fit in with his sister. But I wanted a nice American name for him.

[ Putting the cat down. ] So you doing okay?

[She leans her head back against the wall of the stairwell, glancing off when a particularly loud scream of a firework goes overhead and she smiles.]

[ It's cold, he needs someone to come warm him up. ]

[She looks back to the camera, brows raised, smile a touch sheepish.]

It's a British thing, Guy Fawkes Night. We're supposedly celebrating the fact that he didn't manage to blow up the king. Though I think these days it's more of an excuse to get drunk and set off fireworks.
