[Lydia's smile is a little too tight around the edges as she addresses the network, clearly putting on a brave front regarding whatever it is that may be bothering her.]

So! I'm moving into my own place, which I know I've mentioned to a few people. My original roommate was going to be my best friend, Allison. [A beat.] That plan has changed.

So Stiles is going to take the second bedroom. The plan for a housewarming is still on, but just a bit delayed and I'll be making an announcement soon about when that's going to happen. In the meantime though, a question for folks.

I miss my dog back home, and I think I'd like to get a puppy here. Is there a pet store? A shelter? Any kind of resource to look into pet adoption? If there was a way to get a miniaturized version of Naga that'd be right up my alley. But other suggestions are welcome.


I just wanted to say thank you so much to both of you. I was really freaked out and you took me in right away, without any questions. I know things like the curses and stuff made everything kind of crazy, but I hope I wasn't too inconvenient of a house guest and if there's anything I can do for either of you in return for helping me out, please let me know.

I don't think we'd have two bedrooms if he was my boyfriend. I can't speak to his preferences though, it's not mine to go advertising.

Well, twenty-first century couples don't tend to go for separate bedrooms or worry about appearances in the way, in my experience.

Well, I'm the sort of girl who'd want to sleep in the same bed with a guy I'm shacking up with, definitely.

[And despite his flirting, it's an... oddly harmless statement. He knows completely well that he can't act on it, even if she is damn fine.]

Do you know Korra? You might ask her about a dog. She has several in addition to Naga [and a bunch of cats, and some pink sheep] and may be willing to part with one.

I'm sorry too, but also glad for her in a way. Seeing people show up and having them go is always weird and emotionally complicated here, isn't it?

[Deliberately focusing on the dog thing.] Do you know if she has any puppies? Is she Naga's owner, then? She is the sweetest...dog-bear-ginormous beast I've met. [Also the only, but let's not be picky.]

I'm glad you're still going to have the house warming party and that you've found a room mate.

There's a shelter here. They've got a lot of dogs and cats.

It seemed to make sense. Stiles needs a place, and I've got room. I figure if Allison comes back sooner rather than later we'll just upgrade to a three bedroom.

I was hoping there was a shelter. Pavel suggested I check with Korra as well.

It can be. I think it is worst when they leave and return with no memories of the City.

[ANYWAY.]

No puppies, no. I could not tell you want the dogs' kinds are, but Naga is a polar bear dog and not a pet so much as... [There are no English words for this kind of bond in Pavel's vocabulary, so he gestures vaguely in lieu of actually coming up with any.] Polar bear dogs are native to Korra's world.

[ OH LYDIA, SHE WANTS TO HUG YOU.]

Yeah. It's pretty easy to move around to a bigger apartment, or knock out a wall. I'm pretty sure mine got remodeled entirely before I ever arrived.

[ She nods a little. ] Both of my dogs came from the shelter. If Korra can help though, that'd be good too. She's nice.

Are all the animals from Korra's world some kind of crazy hybrid? Because that is some seriously crazy awesome biology. I'll definitely talk to her.
