How did someone get access to Sherlock's tapes? I didn't give my permission for that recording. I want it taken down now, it's private.

[ She fiddles with the device for a moment, biting her lip in irritation. She manages to end the post, but not to remove the film. ]

[Korra's slouched in her seat in the Welcome Center, browsing the network for newbie posts. She doesn't mean to watch this video, but true to form, it's kind of hard to miss.

She glances around to see if Joan's working today. Best thing I can do is just pretend I never saw it. It's not like she knows the older woman that well.]

I think that's gonna be difficult to manage.

The Internet is forever, huh? [ She sighs, frustrated. ] Of course.

That would be too easy. I don't even know how that tape got here.

[ She's not surprised it exists... just that it made it into the City. ]

[ Joan wasn't going to work today, but actually, that sounds like a great idea. The newbies aren't going to have seen the video, and she'd much rather talk to strangers about their problems than to friends about her own right now. ]

[ So she comes in, maybe a little more tense than she usually is, nodding to Korra. ]

[ Just. Not even mentioning it. ]

Nothing I can do will take it down. And I'm not really a hacker. [ She sighs, frustrated. ]

Yeah. Nothing interesting on the network. [Trying to sound completely casual, and probably failing. Curiosity is a hard feeling to ignore, and more importantly, she feels a sympathy for the older woman. In some ways, their stories are the same.]

[ Exploiting weaknesses, collecting secrets, targeting sore points -- it's all part of Hei's modus operandi. He files away Joan's distress, and the interesting details revealed in the video. ]

I know it could be worse, but that really doesn't make me feel any better about it right now.

That's next week's curse, I'm sure. [ Her tone is dry, but she doesn't really believe that. Bright side, right. She's trying to find it. ]

I only wish that were true. Go on, ask. [ She's really trying to be patient. She knows that Korra won't be the only one who is curious, and at least she'll be less invested in her answers than some others would be. So she sighs and rests a hand on her hip, waiting. ]

That's what I've been told. [ She sighs, frustrated. ] It's all right, thanks for your concern.
