I really need to be somewhere that doesn't have any clowns. A non-bar space, preferably. But really, anywhere.

Does it appear to be a curse, or an influx of new residents?

Not sure, although my guess would be a curse. Usually residents don't come in as themed sets. In my experience.

I believe this location is sufficient.

[Attached is a map to SOMEWHERE IN THE CITY IDK that is near amenities, plenty of decent floor space, not too crowded, and has lots of light. Because.]

[ Joan looks at the map, more than a little surprised that a stranger would do so much for her. She expected a friend to offer an evening in their apartment, or maybe a suggestion for ways to ward the clowns off. She's rather touched by his consideration. ]

The Welcome Center's clown-free for now. I can't guarantee it'll stay that way, though.

[If asked, he'd insist it was logic. She requested appropriate lodgings, and he's done research on what the average human prefers (And then Jim Kirk, but he's always been the outlier).]

You don't think they're new residents, do you? [ Joan doesn't, but she'll defer to Penny's judgment. ]

[ She's a little weirded out by the sudden switch in privacy settings, but hey, maybe this guy is from a time period where you didn't put your name all over the internet. Technically, she was, but the network doesn't exactly seem as threatening as the World Wide Web. She will file away this thought for later consideration. ]

[ His name, however, makes her snort a little. Not that she'd say anything. She isn't a Star Trek fan, not really. ]

It's Watson. Joan Watson. I work at the Welcome Center, so we may have met before.

Yeah, you remembered. And you're Neil?

I'm headed home right now, actually. I was getting some groceries when I noticed the invasion.

I don't think so. There're way too many for that.

It's nice to meet you too. If you are new, I'd recommend that you'd check it out. We offer a lot of help for people coming in. They were really nice to me when I showed up. Since May. Too long. You?

Well, it could be like the Visitor Day that we had a while ago. But I'm hoping you're right.

Thank you. It's not even that I'm afraid of clowns, really. It's just... I have some bad recent memories having to do with balloons. That probably sounds ridiculous, but it's true.

I figure it can't be too long until they start coming in themes. All the curses do.

There are some really terrible people in the world.

Here's hoping we'll get a "cute and cuddly" theme.
