I just saw this incredibly handsome man as I was heading to work today. I mean, wow.

And I don't know what it is about him, but he just - I just...

I'm not sure I believe in love at first sight, but something about him struck such a chord...

Well... It's not like they need me at the shop today. If I'm late probably no one would even notice. And I do own the place, so if I want to take the morning off so that I can go do a little searching, that's my business right?

Hmm... wonder if I can pick up his scent. That would make tracking him a lot easier.

Wellll good thing I didn't decide to just drop in today.

Probably yes, though if you want we can meet there later. Or I can meet you somewhere while I'm out... looking.

[ john is going to be around hopping along around the city, mainly in the shopping area because he needs new clothes. he doesn't yet know about the curse but he will soon. ]

[Mercy manages to track down the gorgeous man she saw and is now in the unenviable position of trying to sort of watch him without looking too much like a stalker.

It's hard because he keeps going into stores and it would be very easy for him to trip over her as she lurks near the doorways dreamily.]

[ he stops by the butcher's, though, as if he's trying to figure out what to buy and hasn't got a single clue where to start. john hasn't shopped groceries or other merchandises for himself in years, other than the basic necessities and things related to his guns, the military and the base in which he lived in being his provider in every way.

[Oh, he just looked so... in need of help. Mercy couldn't resist. So after a bit of mental struggling, she came up beside him.]

Hey. You look a little lost. Can I give you a hand with something.

[There might also have been some blushing and such, because really - up close he was even better-looking and he smelled amazing and just... wow.]

I love little cafes. So small and quiet. Mind you not the same as little shops. Love a good shop. More places should have shops, don't you think?

[Soon enough the Doctor walks towards the cafe with hands in his pockets. He looks around trying to find Mercy.]

[Mercy had the advantage, having met the other version of this doctor before. She smiled and waved,]

Over here, Doctor.

[The Doctor caught the gesture and started walking over to her.]

Hello! Mercy, right? So good to finally meet you properly!

That's me!

[She smiled and motioned to the other chair.]

Please have a seat. It's so nice to see you again - or, well, to meet this version of you. Sorry. I know that sounds very strange.

[He grins and takes a seat.]

Yes, wellll might not be as strange anymore.

[He rubs the back of his neck.]

[Mercy had been scanning the area, but she turned back and focused her entire attention on the Doctor. She'd smell the gorgeous guy if he came by.]

Not yet, but I think he might be shopping somewhere in here.

[She looked at him a bit ruefully.]

I'm not usually like this, but there was just something so... appealing about him I couldn't resist.

[He looked around for a moment before focusing back on her.]

[An idea that was alien to him as he was to people.]

Well, I am part coyote - or can shift into one anyway.

[She tapped her nose.]

Good sense of smell.

Love at first sight? Not really something I believe in either, but there is just something about this guy. I suppose it could be pheromones or something like that?

That is just fascinating. Don't meet too many shifters in my travels.

Ohh pheromones. Good ole pheromones. Has that particular smell. Do you know what you're going to say to him?

Ohhh in all my 900 years I've never heard anything dumb. Wellll not that dumb. Silly perhaps! But..You should just follow your nose and brain. First thing that comes to mind.

That would probably be... "Hey... how are you doing?"

That's a good start, yes. "How is the weather?" even. But Hello is also good as well. Plenty to choose from.

[Mercy couldn't help but laugh.]

Yeah, Hello does have a lot going for it.

Welllll sometimes. Almost sometimes. Depends. Doesn't work too well on enemies.

On enemies I'd think it might be best to just run.

[Mercy was grinning too.]

At least that's my preference when I get the chance. Though I find I usually end up smack dab in the middle despite my best intentions.

Always a good plan the running. Can never go wrong with it. You know, Mercy in all my 900 years there's never really been a fault with running.

Ohhhhh I do know the feeling. Getting caught up in the middle is never good. Wellll sometimes. Really depends on the situation. But with two enemies is always a bit of a challenge. Daleks and Cybermen not the best pair to get caught in between.

[She smiled at him - a little shy, a little dazzled. He just seemed so... wonderful.]

[She had no idea, but she'd find something. She poked around until she found something that looked possible.]

Ohhh no, no I can't choose. I wish I could then of course I would finally be ginger! Always wanted to be ginger but I'm always missing out. Think an 80 year old man or older. That was my first and second regeneration.

Ginger, huh?

I can't say I ever wanted to be ginger. I have wished that I either looked all anglo or more Native American. It was hard looking so half and half when I was in high school.

I never mind a sincere compliment. And thank you. I've gotten used to the dichotomy, but, well, high school was a tough time anyway.

Ohhh, I can't imagine high school being a good time for anyone. Always hated school. A bit stuffy.

Yeah, not really my best years.

I spent way too much of my time trying to be as perfect as possible. I didn't even shift for over two years.

Ohhhh that must have been terrible.
