[Angela's sitting cross-legged on a sofa in an apartment that if anybody knew her well enough can tell that's not hers. One, the wall colors are in neutrals and there's no amount of controlled chaos around. What gives it away especially is a grey cat in her lap snoozing, and even though she is not a fan of them, Angela can't bear to move it. Her device is propped up so her hands are free to write things down on a nearby clipboard.]

The worst part of coming and going here isn't the coming back, it's coming back and realizing there are things you should already know, but you can't remember. I hate not remembering things. My life experiences are so important to me; I want to look back and go "Yeah, that was fantastic how we got arrested." but when I can't remember faces, much less names or events...

[It pisses her off. But she's not going to say that much out loud.]

So here's your mission, should you choose to accept it: tell me things about us I should remember. Doesn't matter if it's big or small. If we went to the beach together and almost got eaten by sharks, great! Or not so great, but still that's useful to me.

And if we didn't do anything together, lie to me. Make something up. It's not like I'll know the difference.

[The D. The dick. He obviously only wants that to her. None of this actual dating business.] 

Yep. You can't just claim that and not give me details.

Only people who are referring to somebody younger than them and by the looks of your face, it seems you have it backwards with me.

Oh, share my lunch? Fine, but I'm not paying.

[She knows he means share her lovelife but alas, she doesn't have one right now.]

Well, I dunno about that, although I guess people always do think I look pretty young.

[He is pretty young, but he has no idea how old Angela is, either.]

How old are you anyway?

[With a wife and kid, she's going to shoot for mid-late twenties. You know, something closer to her age.]

[trenchknives]

Twenty three. That younger or older than you thought?

[thenormalsquint]

[Angela grimaces for a quick minute, but it's hidden behind her glass as she takes a drink.]

Younger.

[Much younger. Almost the same age as his lookalike.]

[trenchknives]

Well, y'know...

[He could say something ridiculous about how he's much more mature than his chronological age, but that'd be a lie, anyway. Sure, he's seen a whole hell of a lot more than most twenty three year olds, but she's probably not inclined to believe him, nor does he want to talk about it.]

Guess you don't want me to call you kid then, huh?

[Shaking her head, she tilts the half-full glass towards him.]

Not when I'm about to turn thirty-one.

[trenchknives]

Thirty one? Wouldn't've guessed it.

[He means that, and isn't saying it just to be flattering, but how it'll be taken is anyone's guess.]

That mean your birthday's comin' up soon, then?

[It would be fine either way. It'll be the third time she's heard that this week. Her head is getting huge.]

I hope I get an invitation to your birthday party, even if I did call you kid.

Who said I was having a party?

[She's so definitely having a party.]

Well, if you don't, I guess I'd have to throw you a surprise one.

It's not a surprise if you tell me you're gonna do it.

Well, it could still be a surprise as to what kinda stuff I'd have at the party, y'know? Like if I'd hire, I dunno, a bunch of showgirls or somethin'.

[Jimmy, birthday parties are not bachelor parties.]

We call them strippers now, hon, and I'd love them.

[Men or women, she does not care.]

Well, y'know, I know a couple.

[Because of course he does.]

I might be able to arrange somethin'.

[She is neither shocked or appalled.]

I'll hold you to that.

It'll be a good birthday, I can promise you that.

You can't forget to get me a gift, either.

Of course I'll get you a gift. But I gotta take you out for drinks a couple more times before that, maybe dinner, too, so I can get to know you 'n figure out what kinda gifts you might like, y'know?

Uh huh. So you are using that as an excuse to get me to go out on dates with you.

[Angela's just going to pull his card right here and laugh.]
