She didn't have any good sight on what the gun was, though "handgun" is at least decent enough for an approximation of range. Either way, she's inside his damage radius.
The alleys are small here, but she's not exactly athletic. Very average, really. Trained enough to run around a starship, not nearly enough to be hurdling alleyways. She has to take the long way down and fight from the ground now, since he will be avoiding this rooftop.
She drops down each of the ladders -- boom boom boom goes the fire escape -- and then to the ground. He knows exactly where she is now, so she takes off at a sprint.
