Okay. I've been bumming around long enough: it's time I got a job.

Yeah, yeah, I know. I've been here awhile. But I've been kind of distracted. So if anyone has any work for a pre-law ghost hunter, let me know. I've got experience with research and as a barista. And in bars. I didn't wake up as a pony or a little kid or anything today, so I figured now was as good a time as any to ask.
[If there's anything worse than always being the new kid, it's being the new kid the day before exams and having to announce it to everyone else.]

Hi. I'm Sam Winchester, and I'm new. There's not much to know, really. I'm not sure what else to say. Does anyone having the English homework?

[OOC: Feel free to run into Sam in class, in the halls, in the lunch room, or walking home from school. Anywhere you like, even if you're not at Westerberg.

NOTE: Replies will come from [personal profile] seekingnormal for iconic purposes.

[For those who haven't heard, Sam was sent to the library at Dean's request to help solve the rash of murders. Research is a thing he does, and right now, anyway, Sam's in his element. Which isn't to say he's gleeful, or anything of the sort. But he's businesslike and intense--and most importantly, not thinking about Jess or anything else.]

[Have a frustrated-looking Sam. All the more strange since it looks like someone's combed and slicked his hair. His mouth twitches when his irritation gets the better of him.]

You know how sometimes in this city, people wake up and start acting strangely, or think they're someone else entirely? [He sighs.] What do you do when they think you're someone else? Because Dean and Donna can play house all they want when I don't have to watch, but now they've decided I'm their six-year-old son and I can't leave without a chaperone. I've kind of outgrown spaghetti-O's and cartoons, too.

If they tell me to clean my room, seriously. I'm not answerable for my actions.

[Sam looks almost as if he doesn't realize the camera is on, his eyes vague and staring. At the same time, there's a grim sort of determination lined in his features. The words seem to come from a long way away, with effort. In his own mind, Sam is reviewing the evidence, the clues to her disappearance, piecing together the conspiracy of demons that has taken her from him yet again. And he's so close, he can feel it. Just around that corner...]

I know she's out there. And I'm going to get her back.

[Sam is going to keep walking, keep pursuing that thread that will lead him to Jessica. Resistance will be met with incomprehension at best, an assumption of collusion with the enemy at worst.]

[Sam looks intact, if a little worse for wear. He spent a few days wandering, helping people out, checking in on those he could find. Eventually he caught up with Dean. Now he's trying to work out what's happened, and what they're gonna do about it. There's something a little stilted about him, mechanical.]

Anyone who's got information on how we get out of here, I'm compiling anything I can find. In the meantime, anyone still out there who needs help?

And hey, if we talk on a regular basis, and you can see this, and we haven't since this whole thing started? Really like to hear your voice.

[Before he loses someone else.]

[Sam looks worried, and a little flustered, like someone kicked his puppy.]

Hey. Has anyone seen Jess? Jessica Moore. My girlfriend. I've been looking for her, and she... she hasn't been home...

If you've seen her, if you have any information, I don't care if you want to stay anonymous or whatever, I want to know.

[Separate private filters to Dulcie and Buffy]

I think I have something of yours.

Look who's just gotten out of the shower... )

Hey. I'm Sam Winchester. You might know me as the smart brother, but I'm here to tell you there's more to me than that. Much more. You don't know how hard it is, being this intelligent and this good looking. Everyone just sees one or the other. I'm tired of... of not being objectified. I have a lot more to offer than my giant brain.

Jessica knows that, but since I can't find her right now... I guess I'm going to show you.

have a video! )

[When Sam finally gets dressed feel free to run into him around town.]

[Sam's been out and about today, so people can run into him anywhere.]

Hey. Thanks, by the way, to everyone who made Dean's birthday memorably. [He grins.] So, I heard about this whole influx of people. If anyone's looking for me, say hey.

[Okay, it's dangerous, sure. But since coming here he's been reunited with his mother and his girlfriend and he can't help but hold out a little hope.]

[ooc: Open to pretty much anything. He does NOT know about Lucifer et al, but he knows there's something he's not supposed to know about his future, so dropping hints is okay. Fourth walling of any type is fine and can't be any worse than the show.]

Hey guys. If you don't know me, my name's Sam Winchester. You probably know my brother, Dean.

[Sam grins, almost gleefully.]

What you might not know is that it's his birthday today. And I wanted to get him something he'll remember forever. And I thought that if you guys wanted, you could help me.

This is Dean. [He holds up a picture.] Here's my plan, and it won't take you even a minute. Everyone who wants to, when you see Dean today, give him a slap on the ass and call him 'DeeDee.' For extra points, don't explain yourself or anything, just act like nothing happened. I know that's a weird thing to ask of strangers, but I know a lot of you know him and a lot of you who don't will think it's funny anyway. It will be awesome, I promise. And I'm totally going to deny all knowledge, so don't even try to pin this on me.

Oh, and if you think this is some lame family crap, and you don't want to get involved, you're probably right and that's cool. But I figure if we get even ten or so people it'll be hilarious.

Thanks guys! I'll owe you one.

[ooc: If you want to drop in on the party Sam's throwing, there's an open post in a bar.]
