[The Doctor is making last minute checks around the console, hitting several levelers and buttons before he turns to the screen grinning like a mad man.]

Ohhhh this door is brilliant isn't it? Anyone gone through yet?

[He hits another switch.]

Check. Check. Hmm...

[He rubs his chin thoughtfully.]

I seem to be missing something. No, not that.

[He turns around and sees a clutter of equipment in the corner.]

Got those...

[And then it hits him.]

Oh, Rose? Are you still around? Time is ticking.

[The recording starts to show the Doctor hobbling along Misery Square. His right trainer’s sole has come loose and he is clearly not in the best of moods. His hair is more crazy than usual and the edges of his coat seem to be burned off thanks to the TARDIS and her ever so lovely mood earlier.]

Ohhhh could today just get any worse?

[Unknowingly the next step he takes leads him straight into a puddle. His foot is completely soaked.]

Great. Just brilliant! Fantastic!

[His sarcasm is showing.]

What next?

[He holds out his arms in frustration.]

[The Doctor finds Jackie is still with him as he stands in the hallway.]

Can't get rid of me that easily, you wanker.

[He's pacing the hallway with Jackie glaring at him. Ten pointedly ignores her.]

You're such a coward.

I really have to get out of this place.

Typical coward. I knew you were nothing but a waste.

[This is when the Doctor starts to lose it and starts to yell pointedly at Jackie.]

Get over yourself! You're not real! You're another sick concoction of this City's twisted imagination.

[ooc: The Doctor is cursed seeing the worst abomination in all of creation, Jackie Tyler. Italics is Jackie.]

23 November 2013 @ 04:58 pm
[Ten’s in the middle of town square, hands in his pockets just observing for the most part as people are everywhere.]

Ohhh look at you lot whizzing about. Actually milling about. Wellll more like loitering about in some cases, eh?

[He observes a small group just standing against an entrance to a coffee shop.]

[The Doctor is in panic mode trying to disable the video.]

28 September 2013 @ 08:17 pm
[Who can resist a carnival especially at night? Certainly not the Doctor who appears on screen apparently eating what looks like cotton candy. He thinks it’s all brilliant as he walks by some rides, people screaming in fun with their hands up in the air. There’s nothing odd about this at all. There’s a curious part of him that wonders if with all this activity if Alonso is around.

He appears distracted stopping by a haunted house and peering at the entrance, which resembles a black and white hypnosis circle. It’s enough to make a normal person dizzy.]

Alonsooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo?

23 August 2013 @ 09:11 pm
[The Doctor walks through the forest in his hand is a gizmo which he is holding out like a compass. ]

Ohhh I’m close!

[He starts to sprint across the trees and then the blinking light stops causing him to stop.]

What?

[He looks perplexed as he shakes his device in an attempt to get it working again.]

Noo, nooo, no, come on now!

[From the far left behind a tree a clown springs out to come into view causes the Doctor to turn around at the noise and jump slightly at the sight of him.]

Hello there.

[The Doctor stares at the clown with curiosity as the clown starts to prance around.]

So are you from around here, or did you miss the circus?

[The clown stops and then starts to pull at something from his sleeve. More and more handkerchiefs get pulled falling to the ground.]

Ahhh, so you do tricks. Love a good trick. Especially magic tricks, mind you not really actual magic. Welllll because that would just be ridiculous wouldn’t it?

[The clown continues with another trick taking an deflated balloon from his pocket and blowing it up. The clown starts to twist it.]

Wellll that’s not too bad. So, do you have a name?

[The clown continues to work at the balloon.]

Silent type, eh? How about Alonso? Always wanted to say that again.

28 July 2013 @ 04:36 pm
[The Doctor is frantically working around the control panel with his sonic while sparks continue to fly.]

Oh come on! We made a deal. You and me. You can not do this to me now. Not now.

[He looks over at the device and scans it over with his sonic.]

Well then. Hello out there! Nothing really to see here.

[Sparks continue to fly behind him along with some noises. He looks over his shoulder.]

Knock it off.

[He looks back at the device and runs a hand through his hair.]

Right. As I was saying, hello, I’m the Doctor. Just the Doctor by the way. And it seems I’m just passing through as luck would have it. Anyone out there getting this at all?

[His attention switches over to his sonic.]

[ It's half past midnight: do you know where your Rose is?

No, he doesn't, actually. It's highly unnerving. He has a bad feeling about this. He has several bad feelings about this. So many, in fact, that he went to get his counterpart and go out looking for her. She hasn't been answering any sort of calls or left him a note of some kind and it's just not normal for either one of them to be this late without telling the other somehow.

So they're out combing the City for Rose. Cleverly. Carefully. Utilizing all their special Time Lord abilities. ]

Rooooooooooooooseee!

[ He's inside a very familiar environment. ]

Thought I felt something familiar so I figured I'd come have a look.

Filtered to other Doctors, Rose, Amy, Jack, Gwen, and Turlough )

[ ooc: The TARDIS Ten showed up in the City with is a TARDIS again. Can't move, but for the moment at least the dimensional whaaaaaaa is working. ]

[ The Doctor - maybe? If that's the Doctor - is looking at textbooks every now and then between working on about eight other things at the same time. Effectively? Not studying. Playing. Playing. Playing, some science, and then some more playing. But he's in his room at least. He looks like he might be getting dressed up to go out though - but given that he usually wears a full suit, and right now that's missing? it's really hard to tell.

ooc: replies and tags to come from [personal profile] will_i_be_rude, once I get his icons set up because I am so creative. (replies and tags the same respectively for Harry as well, jsyk.) ]

[good morning. you are being treated to a nice, canted view from a nightstand of the Doctor with the hair and one pink and yellow Rose Tyler sleeping, fairly snuggled, and with some suspiciously bare shoulders and clavicles peeking out. In a rare turn of events, it's actually the both of them sleeping - or. Well, sort of. At least one of them is dozing in and out, clearly well within the process of achieving consciousness but unwilling to decomfify themselves from the warm, snuggly bed. Who knows what was ~happening that's gotten them both to such a state.

All in all though it's quite normal and sort of sweet and very, very domestic, so clearly there's nothing strange at work at all, right?]

21 April 2012 @ 11:40 pm
[He's just sitting at the area he uses for working on things in the apartment, shuffling through the desk drawers looking for something, ostensibly. He hasn't noticed the device is on, and doesn't for a few seconds after finding the picture, mostly because he's busy wondering

1. where it came from
2. how it could exist
3. why he even has it

There's a few seconds of vaguely sundry mumblings and sputterings to himself before the recording indicator catches his eye, and he flashes a picture across by way of explanation.]

Rose, your mother is not allowed near me again. Ever. Okay? I protect you from aliens, you protect me from her. Deal?

01 April 2012 @ 11:57 pm
These weekends are always so peculiar. Although, really, more fun than most of the things that tend to happen around here.

[ooc: yay, I Cannot Tell A Lie, but he doesn't know yet. Please pretend this was earlier. one day back-timing won't happen. maybe.]

11 March 2012 @ 11:35 pm
[The Doctor is being followed today by oddly appropriate music, and he doesn't understand why.]

I'm not dying! I already did that! Well, I mean, I didn't do that, clearly - I'm not dead - but all of that already happened! Over! How do you even know about it? Who would want to write a song about it? It's... Not bad - kind of catchy - I like the 'hungry moth' bit, and the one with the line about blinking that doesn't actually say it, good touch ther-- No! Wait, really, who wrote these?

[ooc: my sense of humour is easier than your grandmother's pet rabbit. Ten's being followed by Chameleon Circuit songs today when he's by himself. Come talk to him so he can get a break from his ego trip.]

26 February 2012 @ 10:27 pm
[The bar is closed, but as stated somewhere, John Smith probably manages to provide a significant amount of the upkeep on the place single-handedly, all the while without destroying anything, getting into fights, or annoying the bartenders (too much), so he's normally allowed to stay a little while afterwards. There's nobody left to talk to, and no reason to sit at any of the tables anymore, so he's just at the counter by himself, vaguely sprawled and less drunk than he appears, not for lack of trying.]

[ooc: with the rest of the DW/TW cast, Gothic Romance genre-switch. Probably would have been less confusing before we got a Peter Vincent, but he looks a bit like Peter Vincent. Hope Peter Vincent doesn't find out. Replies come from [personal profile] rescript.]

22 February 2012 @ 11:57 pm
I've been able to make contact with a handful of people through the barrier between the cities but it's getting too difficult. It looks like I've only got enough cobbled together here for one more trip back over from the sand to the glass city, so the Doctor Doctor's All-Aboard Desert Not-A-Bus-This-Time Ferry Transport Line is leaving Point A tomorrow morning and headed for point B, and that'll be that. Anybody left out here who wants to be on it ought to be here by then, because I'm not sure how long I'll be able to keep the components in working order without enough replacements.

28 January 2012 @ 12:47 am
I've heard there's a bunch of people I ought to know floating around out there this weekend. Shame none of you have run into me yet, though for the moment I'll chalk that up to my being busy being incredibly brilliant and not staying still and having a new daughter to teach the wonders of the world to and all sorts of other reasons. The point is... You know. Hello!

25 January 2012 @ 08:12 pm
[There is what can really only be described as an array of absolutely ridiculous things around a clear area clearly meant for someone to be sitting, only there isn't someone there. And then there is. Aaaaand then there isn't. It's rifling through the desk behind him that he finds the device on.]

Normally I have a bit of a problem working on one project at a time but this... This is, this is maddening. Constant ticking - I can see where it makes a man a bit wonky. Tell you what though, excellent for composing. Never skips a beat.
