I think it is more than a little symbolic that the shattered curse came together with a key and each piece was collected from you, Cityzens. We're in this together. I keep saying it and saying it and saying it. I hope that one day all of us can be on the same page and hold that as the same chant that encourages us through these times were, hell, we don't know what the outcome will be. That doesn't stop the trying. The curse pieces and the contagious nature of them should be at its end thanks to all those efforts.

From the bottom of my heart, thanks for pitching in. We'll send out those tokens of appreciation ASAP. Right Kat? Just let us know.

I wish I had better news to follow but we're still figuring out the nature of these curses. Why the happen, what they're trying to do to everyone.... What I'm trying to say is that it looks like they're gonna keep on going.

Your man D is not giving up. Don't give up on D or the team. You bet your boots we don't plan to give up on you. These errors challenge us to find other means. To be smarter, harder and a step closer.

[It sounds like he's done but no!]

Oh. On a different note, the whole fuss brought Eloise out. Say hi to Sweet Mama E.

[BLIP. On goes the video feed. He looks like he's in some sort of a garage.]

Yo, Cityzens. Your man, Deacon here. Glad that we gave our little buddy Kat a solid welcome. We need to depend on as many bodies as possible. I'll get to that in a second.

I hope we're not all water logged from that pirate business. The domes held up okay. We weren't expecting just how much the sensory deprivation would go. So uh, we're gonna go back to the drawing board there. Look, we're still working it out the best that we can. There's so much ground to cover from the curses, to the barriers to the clock.

[Deacon goes aside a moment. He picks up a guitar and pulls the strap over his head. While he's talking he does a little adjusting of the chords. Just a little. After his eyes are focused on the camera, his hands are still.]

A little guy, you probably didn't know him, everyone called him Snickle was with us from the start. Bean pole sort of a guy, all his skills were in the brain more then the body. All the same he was right there in the trenches going headlong to study what made the barrier tick. Sort of a bloodhound for details. Much of what we got so far has his fingerprints all over it. We were trying to focus on the workings of the clock.

[He looks down and sniffs. Just a noise okay. He rubs his mouth and chin before going on.]

Well. His work done him in. [Deacon looks away and nods a bit before back up to the camera.] He was completely toasted. By my watch it's been about twenty seven hours. Snick hasn't revived. You know what that means. All those warnings about what protects them are no joke. Snickle knew it. He also knew what was to gain.

Can everybody take a moment to raise a glass, bottle...sippy cup to my man Snickle? He's one of you, one of us. We're not going to forget you, bro. And we're not gonna be giving up.

A moment of silence, Cityzens.

[There is that moment a good three minutes or so. The pick that was resting against the strings of the guitar is now between his fingers as he strums out a little bit of something. It's a goodbye, man.]

[Oh, it's him again. He is looking less put together than previously. Already he had quite a stubbly riddled face. Now there's some sort of a semblance of a goatee, it'd be more apparent if it wasn't for dirt and cuts.]

Hey. Take a second right now. Soak it in. Remember where you are. What you're doing this very second. Take a mental picture of where you're standing, sitting....whatevering. This will be the moment you'll latch onto. When you're somebody's great-grand something you'll look back on today.

[He shuts his eyes like there's gonna be some mass meditation. It isn't long.]

We did it! Goddammit! You. Me. We! Sweet City, baby girl, you're free~! Those assholes are gone! Our work ain't even done, but this is the prize!!

Say it! Say it with me now!

VIC-TOR-Y! VIC-TOR-Y!

[404 ERROR screen of death blips before everything is a-okay. For now...]

[Say. Here's a familiar face. He is sitting cross-legged on a dirt floor. Behind him is a familiar slogan banner sorta worn some.]

Yo. Everybody be careful out there. It's getting ugly. I don't even know how many of you got thrown into the slammer. If we have to bust in again to get you to really feel us, we will.

[His palms rub together before resting on his knees as he continues.]

Listen, words are only words but you're all about killing me here. We want the same thing.

[To make a point he brings the camera angle to his mouth and fairly imperfect teeth.]

THE DEITIES HAVE TO BE STOPPED.

[He pulls back. The camera jumbles a little then steadies obviously in someone else's capable hands.]

My comrades and I are not going to pussyfoot around. We formally declare war on Lina, Laszlo Jamf and M. S. Fice. You will stand down. You will suffer for your unfair rule and crimes. Those watchdogs are not going to keep us down. Anyone of them that tries to lay a hand on a free man or woman will be terminated. Does that do anything for you?

[Solid enough there for you? He shakes his head.]

You think it's bad now, Cityzens? I know it'll get worse before it gets better. Join us, we're already comrades at heart. Inaction will only hinder the cause. You're playing right into their hands, becoming their weapon. This is war. That would make you the enemy wouldn't it?

[Standing up now.]

The heat is on.
