[It's Uhura and yet not Uhura at the same time. She smiles at the camera.]

I thought everyone could use a little cheering up.

[She pulls out a harp and begins to sing.]

[The sound of her music draws the Uhura we know and love up and out of her room.]

Excuse me. What are you doing in my home?

[Chekov, who is notoriously difficult to awaken on the rare occasions when he sleeps, pops out of his room after the singing wakes him up. He doesn't look very surprised to see Uhura and another woman who is not Uhura.]

You have one, too!

What do you mean, "one too"? [both women ask]

A person. [He gestures vaguely.] I have one, as well.

Really? I would love to meet him!

[Other Uhura looks excited, while Uhura just looks annoyed.]

So this is part of some curse?

Excuse me? [it comes out more wounded than snarky]

I can only assume it is. [He gives the woman who is not Uhura a personable smile.] You have a very [wery] nice singing voice.

[A man--somewhere in his early twenties, probably, and much taller and broader than Chekov--strolls out of Chekov's room as if he lives here. He was going to address Pavel, but the Uhuras' draw his attention.]

Hello. I believe introductions are in order?

[Other!Uhura smiles.] Why thank you. [to other!Chekov she says] I - we - are Nyota Uhura.

It's a pleasure to meet both of you beautiful ladies. We are Pavel Chekov.

[Chekov's jaw drops comically. At a loss for words, he gives the real Uhura a disbelieving look.]

[Uhura shrugs at Chekov -- I don't know either.]

Ах! Где в России вы?

Okay, this sucks.

[In a softer, more restrained, disdainful sort of voice. Lucy has a much taller, curvier and restrained "twin"]
