[Hello, City. Doesn't mr Peter Chadwick look exceptionally sharp today? He certainly hopes you notice. Rise and shine, no time to waste on trivialities like staying in bed to laze around for the weekend. No, this particular version of Peter only has a couple of days to spend in your wonderful city, and he plans to make the most of it. Where's your regularly scheduled Peter, you ask? Conveniently locked up in his own apartment, of course. This one kept the key to make sure he doesn't interfere.]

Good morning, my dear friends! Wonderful one, isn't it? Yes, I think so as well. I suspect this weekend is going to be an exceptional one, if we just put our minds to it.

[You thought he had a good radio voice normally? He's making sure that gets emphasized for your hearing pleasure.]

Who would like to keep me company? Drinks are entirely on me, if that's what you're up to. I plan to make a little visit to that wonderful new club - what was it called - The Wolf's Den? Later on, if you'd like to meet me there. I certainly will welcome anyone's company.

[He exhales with that, grin bright and welcoming, adjusting his tie with expressive hands.]

[If your character is out and about, and if they know Peter, feel free to approach him. He will show your character a wonderful time! And if you happen to be an attractive man, he will absolutely hit on you. Sorry.

[Jimmy has no good side, obviously, so he hasn't been affected by this curse, but he sure raises an eyebrow when he hears Peter on the network.]

You sound, uh... cheerful today?

[flatterie]

Mais bien sur! I feel nothing but. Care to join me in this fabulous mood?

[trenchknives]

Well, uh, you say alcohol's involved, right? Sure, why not?

[flatterie]

[oh god, Jimmy. Be careful.]

Fabulous! What time?

[trenchknives]

[Jimmy really has no idea what he could potentially be getting into, here. He just thinks Peter is in a good mood.]

Oh, I dunno. I get off work around 5. Sometime after then, I guess?

[flatterie]

[He's perfectly harmless, we assure you.]

Shall I meet you or leave an address?

[trenchknives]

Might as well just meet me. I'll be out anyway.

[flatterie]

I'll see you there, then. Au revoir.

[And of course Jimmy shows up, because hey, alcohol's involved, and he doesn't know anything about whatever this new club is. And knowing him, it'll take awhile to catch on. He waits for Peter at the bar, a drink already in his hand.]

[flatterie]

[He is greeted by a bright smile. Peter is prepared to offer him nothing less, after all. They're friends, aren't they? The Peter he's left in his own apartment has given him that impression, so he plans to take full advantage of it.]

So glad you could join me! How was work?

[trenchknives]

Work was fine. Pretty borin' -- which I guess is good, when you work in a magic joke shop, y'know?

[He looks at Peter curiously, unsure of why he's so happy.]

You're in a good mood. Somethin' happen?

[flatterie]

I'm here. It's the weekend. Do we need any more reasons?

[trenchknives]

Well, not in my opinion.

[It doesn't even need to be the weekend, as far as Jimmy's concerned.]

But you're usually pretty serious. Thought maybe you'd gotten a head start on the drinkin' or somethin'.

[flatterie]

[Ah, yes. Quite the tragedy. That's why the seriousness is locked up in an apartment right now.]

Not yet. Care to help me take care of that?

[trenchknives]

Well, sure. What're you havin'?

[Jimmy still hasn't quite gotten over the fact that liquor is completely legal here, and maybe he's been enjoying that a little too much, but he's already mostly done with the drink he'd had while he was waiting, and thinking about what he wants next.]

[flatterie]

[He asks the barman directly for his drink, something neither too strong nor sweet, just enough to keep him entertained. The barman doesn't seem to think his exaggerated charm is very attractive, but Peter doesn't seem to mind that anyway. Back to Jimmy his attention goes.]

We haven't had the chance to really meet in person before, have we?

[trenchknives]

[He shakes his head, ordering himself another gin and tonic.]

No, I guess we haven't. Usually we just talk on the network when somethin' bad happens.

[A grin.]

I gotta say, you're not exactly like I imagined.

[flatterie]

Is that a good or a bad thing?

[trenchknives]

I dunno, can it just be a neutral thing? You seem happy, so that's good.

[flatterie]

I'll consider it a good thing, then.

I've never been here before.

[He looks around the bar curiously.]

Must be a new place, huh?

[flatterie]

Oh yes, quite new. I think that's what I like about it the most.

[trenchknives]

Yeah? You always kinda struck me as the guy who'd like traditional things.

[He's starting to wonder about Peter. He just doesn't seem like the guy he'd talked to on the network.]

[flatterie]

Oh, yes, but I never turn down a novelty. Especially when it looks this good. Who could ever do that?

[trenchknives]

Well, y'know, I have to agree with you there. A little adventure's never bad.
