Is this the City trying to be romantic? Or merely embarrassing? From what I understand, the latter is likelier, though really I'm just worried it's all a bit unhygienic.

[That said, he's not necessarily against it. It's less that he's interested in partaking, and more that it's amusing to watch people's awkwardness. Or occasional enthusiasm, which is perhaps even funnier as it's not always matched between partners. Ah, young love.

But it takes a bit more than an unexpected kiss to unsettle Isaak, so... yes, do feel free to bump into him as he goes about his business.]

[He's hunting, today, and at a cafe waiting in line when Isaak comes in and takes the spot behind him. As usual, he's dressed expensively, the suit he's in tailored, the slight blue pinstripe just matching the darker streaks of color in his eyes.

His lips quirk up just a little as they approach the head of the line, and that's when the mistletoe grows above them.

He turns and kisses Isaak on the mouth, hips aligning, hands clutching the other man's coat.]

[Honestly, if this was a regular accompaniment to his coffee Isaak might come here every day; he can certainly appreciate a good-looking gentleman in a sharp suit.

It's the pleasant sort of unexpected, and he lets one hand fall to rest loosely atop the other man's as he returns the kiss, eyes crinkling a little as he smiles against the stranger's lips.]

[He moves slightly into the kiss, a little more, then settles back and his smile quirks up]

[Not bad? Surely he ought to rate a bit better than that, though these are hardly ideal circumstances.

[Ducking below before midnight grants Luke immunity. Well, for the most part anyway. Affected are drawn together like magnets. A few do get pushed towards uncursed, though.

[Accosting isn't really Isaak's style; he's not on the prowl because of the curse, he just doesn't feel terribly threatened by the prospect, so he's out and about as he would be on any other day.

He's not unaware of his surroundings, he's just not terribly concerned.]

[As hazardous as venturing out is today (not that staying inside of the Welcome Center is any safer, considering the comings and goings), Penny is on an errand. It's not that it's a bad curse, exactly; kissing is nice. She just doesn't necessarily appreciate kissing strangers or friendly acquaintances.

However, when she unexpectedly finds herself in a liplock with the charming, sharply-dressed newcomer--Isaak, that's his name--Penny doesn't mind all that much.]

[Of all the people he sort-of knows in the City, Penny would hardly be his first choice for a kiss; it's nothing personal, she just isn't his type by a long shot. But Isaak is a gentleman; and besides, he's aware of the impression he tends to make. And to a certain extent, it's advantageous to encourage that sort of fondness.

So he kisses her gently, a hand on her shoulder to steady them.]

[Her hands find their ways to rest on his chest as she deepens the kiss--and then the mistletoe allows them to part. Penny fumbles for an apology. She should probably apologize for kind of liking it, too.]

[Naturally, a fair number of the establishments in the City are in or just off of the square; it's the most high-traffic area, after all, the center of the entire place. And with the hospital just off the square itself, of course Wilson heads to one of these fine establishments when he decides he'd rather not visit the hospital cafeteria for lunch. (It actually seemed more crowded, and was certainly more tightly packed, than the streets.)

By the time he's spotted Isaak, unexpected as he turns a corner, he's far too close to do anything about the curse's compulsion. He turns the corner, takes the couple of steps toward Isaak, and goes directly for the kiss.]

[As inconvenient as this curse has been, Isaak doesn't mind it; even his least pleasant kisses have been brief, and a few have been... well, pleasant enough to make the rest worth the drudgery.

He doesn't quite have enough time to greet the doctor before the other man is upon him-- and isn't that interesting? His kiss is perhaps deeper and longer than strictly necessary, but hardly untoward by the standards of the day.]

[Wilson is certainly both mature (and accustomed to the City) enough to shrug off the unwanted kisses this particular curse inevitably leads to, and to not hold them against the other individual. Sure, Isaak's kiss may be a bit... more enthusiastic than most, but it's hardly the worst the curse has done to him. So, upon release, he just steps back, and clears his throat slightly.]

Sorry, I don't... generally make a habit of greeting acquaintances quite that way.

[There's no bumping going on here. Chase merely takes the spot next to Isaak wherever he's paused to peoplewatch. The doctor is aware of the other man's proximity, but doesn't acknowledge it at first: his head is bowed low over the back of a napkin spread over one palm. With a pen he writes a list of greek and latin words beside one already scrawled there, now mostly crossed out.]

[For the moment he's simply taken a bench off to the side of the square, his coffee resting beside him on the edge of it. Here and there couples dot the street, willing and displeased alike; watching the chaos is a pleasant enough way to while away the time.

He's a bit surprised that anyone's not actively avoiding proximity to others, so he glances over at what Chase is doing.]

Interesting homework.

[Normally Chase might be irritated at someone reading over his shoulder, but that accent actively startles him, brief as the snippet is. It shows for half a second as he looks up, and then it's gone.

And if that's an attempt to say he looks young, it's not the first or last he'll hear.]

My teacher's a hardass. We'll be asked to conjugate them next.
