Piglet's 51st Adventure

[Accidental Video]

[A single sheet of paper fills the lens of Piglet's network device, blocking any direct sight of it's owner. On it, in a childlike scrawl of misshapen letters (some backwards) can be read. You see, Piglet's never been able to get the hang of texting without the long thin fingers that human types of people possess. The words read as such:

"Halp. I am stuk.  -Piglit"  ]



[ooc: Piglet, having been trapped amongst extremely tall mazes of corn is doing the only sensible thing and waiting to be found. He's near his device, but may have nodded off with all the waiting he's been doing these last few hours. In the meanwhile, he's written a note.]

[Tapping, tapping, crunching footsteps coming through the corn...

And the maker of those footsteps sees the note...and smiles.

Naturally, the maker of the footsteps seeks the maker of the note...]

[Piglet is only a few feet away curled up asleep in a makeshift bed of corn husks. Luckily he is smooshed up against the side of the maze so he won't be stepped on by accident.]

[He hunkers down over the little piggie in his little piggie nest.

Very quietly:]

Hey, little fella.

[action;]

[Piglet blinks up sleepily and rubs his eyes.]

Pooh?

[Of course, if he were more awake, he'd realize that Randall looks and sounds nothing like his friend Pooh Bear.]

[action;]

[unflagging]

No, sorry. It's just Rory.

[But he smiles and looks quite friendly~]

[His tiny eyes squinch up to see. Not that he doubts anyone saying that they Aren't Pooh, but Piglet does like to be certain, just in case.]

O-Ohhh... um. [Piglet is trying very hard to stay calm so as to not excite (in a pouncing sort of way) this new person. Since names are often very descriptive, and Roar-y's sound very much like a Fierce sort of person/animal. Clearly, he's starting to look quite spooked.

His little paws fidget nervously with a random corn husk.]


H-h-hallo Roary.

[He just props his chin on his hand and smiles~ No need to be nervous. And please just ignore the button on his jacket that reads "How's your pork?" in bloody letters under the image of a smiling pig wearing a police officer's uniform. It's a political statement and is not intended to offend small and helpless and lost piglets.]

Hey, little guy. What's your name?

[It's at this moment that Piglet has what is a Very Good Idea. If he gives a more fierce name, such as Heffalump, or Jagular, then maybe this Roary will think that Piglet is Also a dangerous pouncing type of animal.

His little body visibly gulps and he prepares himself to puff himself up to look as large as his little body can. Doing so, he bravely squeaks out:]

Piglet!

[And his little pink paws clamp over his mouth in dismay.]

[Nothing to worry about: all that does it get a good, hearty laugh out of "Roary." (Well, yes, he does have quite a lot of very white, very strong-looking teeth, but that's nothing to worry about. Is it?) He just laughs.

And then holds out his right hand--for shaking.]

Good to meet you, Piglet!

[Not sure whether he should run or dare being brave enough to accept the profferred hand, Piglet skitterishly half hop-steps backwards and forwards until he manages to lightly touch one of the man's fingers. I'm afraid it's the best he can do.]

I-It is? Oh, yes. Yes. I c-certainly Hope so!

[It's good enough for this guy.]

Sure it is! Where I come from, some people like to say "we're well-met." And I think we are, Piglet. I think we are.
