117 Howls: Enjoying the Sand While the Sun Shines
[The date hadn't really occurred to her, or maybe she'd just blocked it out, not really important anyway. The important thing was that she needed to run - really run - and feel free and herself again. Plus, a coyote was much better designed to deal with all the sand.
So Mercy had put together a small pack with a change of clothes and her Network device, shifted, and headed out through the dog door set into her bedroom's door to the outside. Then she'd trekked deep enough into the woods to find more grass than sand, left her pack carefully hidden by a rock near the river, and indulged herself.
She'd run herself silly, eaten a number of small tasty creatures, run some more, then taken herself and her pack out onto a large sun-warmed rock in the river and stretched out to sun herself. She'd fallen asleep there, enjoying the solitude and the sounds of the river and the warmth of the sun and, well, just about everything.
Somewhere during her nap, she'd bumped the pack, exposing the Network Device, and accidentally turning it on.
Which would be why there was currently video broadcasting of a very content coyote sleeping in the sun.]
[OOC: Action if anyone wants to run into her or feel free to try and talk to the coyote or have Mercy shift back.]

Action
She wouldn't have even paid much attention to the coyote, except that it seemed to have fallen asleep on someone's pack, and she didn't see the person. It was a curious sight, if nothing else. Besides, the animal was cute. So she decided that this was as good a place as anywhere else to hop off of Ba'ul's back and walk around for a little bit.]

Re: Action
I didn't mean to startle you.
Re: Action
Sorry, I forgot about this thread ^^;
It's still nice to be away from people sometimes, isn't it?
[She might have been talking to Ba'ul, or to the air. Or to the coyote, but Judith didn't have any particular reason to believe the animal had much reason to be around people most of the time.]

Did you understand that?

I'm not sure I understand.

Hey. Sorry. I was in my other form.

I don't think I've ever seen an animal turn into a human before.

I'm a walker. I was born this way, but even back home I was pretty unique.
Mercedes Thompson, by the way. Nice to meet you.

Things are complicated with the guy I'm... involved with.
[She sat back down on the rock with a sigh.]
His old lover just showed up in the City. The guy he was really in love with. The guy who died in his arms and is now back here alive.
It's... pretty awkward.
no subject
It sounds like it.

[She shrugs again.]
Nothing you can do but deal.
So, tell me about this... dragon of yours.
no subject
That's Ba'ul. He's a friend of mine.

[Mercy smiled at the large dragon.]
I used to imagine riding on them when I was little - and reading those dragon books.
